When Lacuna was enchanted to be a child forever, nobody seemed to notice or mind. She was delightful the way she was, and it seemed like whether she was an adult or a baby she would always be the same; a princess--and a silly one at that.
Now, Lacuna doesn't really have any royal bloodlines to speak of, but one must understand that when she says she's a princess, it's the absolute truth. As a permanent hatchling, she'll never be a queen, and so she will always remain the definition of princesss--sweet, innocent, and absolutely spoiled. To keep Lacuna entertained, one must simply supply her with a small batch of gemstones, and watch the magic unfold. She enjoys almost nothing more than pouncing around, chasing the light reflected off of the stones, babbling about how pretty they are. Some dragons in her clan have enjoyed maximizing the effect by leaving jewelry inside of fae-built caverns, so that the glittering sap shines all sorts of colors on the gems, making the little coatl go into absolute fits of joy. As for what Lacuna enjoys more than jewels, well, that would be fairy tales. She is easily scared, and avoids the stories of traveling magicians or Plague dragons, but sit her in front of a storyteller, and her wide green eyes will start to droop as the bliss rolls her over into slumber. She doesn't ever remember the ends of stories because they put her to sleep so easily, but because of this, she delights in hearing them over and over again. She will climb all over any minstrels or loreweavers whenever she can get the chance, and she won't be put off by scholars if they have books--she knows books have stories, and no-one can tell her otherwise. Lacuna's friends can expect to receive random gifts of flowers--some woven into crowns, some crumpled from long, lolloping journeys. She will hoard anything soft, and so her own bed is made of flower petals which she is constantly replacing, necessitating constant trips to flower fields, where she cannot resist rolling around hills and chasing butterflies until her shimmering coat is covered in all manner of leaves and grass. The title of a princess necessarily entails a king and a queen to parent said princess, however, this princess is far away from her parents. She is currently offering a list of rewards for any parents willing to adopt her (transcribed by Sylvan, Fletching Clan chronicler): -one pink flower bracelet -two very pretty rocks (transcriber's note: moonstones) -lots of hugs -permission to share her Windsinger doll The princess requires that her parents know a lot of fairy tales, take her on regular trips to find flowers, and will let her have lots of sweet things to eat. |
