Sander

Sander was born in a Plague clan, the dark and scary one - even amongst the favourite Plaguebringer children, the dragons there were far from normal. The clan was cursed - instead of growing old and dying, the victims of the curse slowly turned into stone, their bones harden, their muscles achingly petrify and their eyes glaze over with the dull lifeless colour of dust.

Sander wasn't as aggressive as his sublings, and though his parents accepted the fate of turning into stone, even founding it a way of "special destiny, gift from the deities", he didn't want such a gift. He knew he was a black sheep from the moment he was born: not strong enough to win himself a place among the wastelands, not indifferent enough to accept his fate silently.

So one night the young tundra quietly left the lair and run away. It didn't matter where. Even if he was to end his life as a tundra statue somewhere in Sundial Terrace - that'd be okay, he thought. And he ran.

Sander crossed the Sea of Thousand Currents and wandered into the forest near the border of Ashfall Waste. And that's where he was caught by a vulcano eruption and a forest fire. Fire dragons knew the place good enough to predict the volcanoes... but Sander did not. He thought he was gonna die.

Surprisingly, tundra waked up hours later in a burned forest - scarred, wounded, badly burned but alive. The fire which came from the deep underground forges of the Flamecaller, cleansed his soul, spirit and body - removing the curse of stone. For the first day of his life, he felt free. But he was too weak to move farther, he just walked without seeing where... and then the scouting team of Clan Skyroad found him lying lifeless on the ground, in the Windsinger's domain. And in Skyroad lair, Sander found a new loving home.

He has much shorter fur than other tundras, his fur is dusty and burned grey, and his wings have burnt scars, so he is not a good flyer and prefers to walk or to glide on the wind without moving his wings. He’s unable to change to the winter tundra coat, too.

He's surprisingly good fighter on the ground, though. And he made good friends with Wonder, Dante, Christoph, Heishi and Sunrider. Cougar also can be often seen near him. Sander's heart and mind are in peace - now. He is free.
