Basically, Aleron is Larrikin’s Creek equivalent of Orpheus, only replace Orpheus’ enchanting, velvety voice with unbearable half-screeching, and also Aleron doesn’t go to literal hell to save his beloved one, he just fulfils lots of morally questionable tasks and spend hard earned money on cheap booze…So, yeah, he’s actually nothing like Orpheus. He sucks. Only reason he’s still stuck with The Clan is because he’s so hungry for love, validation and attention that he’ll do literally anything to please his clanmates. And they abuse that a lot.
