B I O G R A P H Y
How could he? How could he have done that? Her last thoughts were screaming why over and over again. She had trusted him. She had loved him. He had given her everything and right when she thought life was good, he took it all away from her. She regretted loving him. She regretted taking him on as her mate. But it was too late now, she was falling further and further. Burning and dying. In moments, it was just ash. Nothing left. Her spirit didn't even roam. It stayed underneath the burning volcano and never moved. It never spoke, it never opened it's eyes, it did absolutely nothing but barely exist. Then, something moved. It was like a light was moving but she couldn't see it, just the brightness that shifted in front of her closed lids. Slowly, she opened her eyes and out of the darkness she noticed two dragons. One was a blazing flame and the other, a small fluffy Tundra in comparison to the other. 'I ask to bring her back," the Tundra said to the other. "Please, Mother." "And what good would that bring to us? To me? To your precious clan, Aldhorn?" the larger dragon asked in a calm and rumbling voice. "A chance to create a great warrior," was Aldhorn's firm response. A rumbling took hold of the ground it was a moment before Lumina realized it was the larger dragon laughing. "Flamecaller, I beg of you." "Do not beg of me, child!" the Flamecaller hissed. "I will do as I wish when I wish it. What reason should I have to help out the son of my sister, the Plaguebringer?" "Because she will be the greatest gift you have ever created. She will be the greatest weapon you have against your sister. And, Mother, she will be your personal soldier to control at will. I ask you, please bring her back." The conversation between the two made very little sense to Lumina as she had been out for what seemed like centuries. She didn't even quite understand what it would feel like to be reborn again. Though, she didn't have a moment to think on it, as her eyes closed pain racked through her poor excuse for an exisitance. She screamed out silently as it felt like the embers were destroying her again from the inside out. The pain was worse than the first time around and once again, she wished she was merely ash. If this was what it meant to live, she did not want to live again. Then, the pain stopped, and she was unsure as to where she was. "Do not open your eyes," the Flamecaller whispered in her ear. "You cannot see nor can you speak. Do not attempt that, my fragile creature." Lumina was so scared as to where she was, she did neither. Instead she lay where she was. It took her not more than a second to realize where she was. She was in her old nest. In her old clan. And not more than a few feet away was her old mate. The one who had betrayed her. The one that had killed her. Anger surged through her so hot that she felt fire in her veins. But then it just turned to an aching sadness. Her limbs hurt, she smelt burnt flesh, and her throat was incredibly dry. But she did not move, she did not open her eyes, and she did not speak. It didn't take very long for her old mate to wake and when he did, Lumina could see his fear as brightly as if she had opened her eyes. "No," he whispered. "You're dead. I killed you. I watched you die," his heart rate began to pick up in fear and that only made Lumina's blood boil more. "But you are not dead, you are alive. Open your eyes, my fragile creature, and show him how beautiful you really are. See the fear in his eyes are he turns to ash," the Flamecaller encouraged and as if a puppet on a string, Lumina did just that. And before she could even blink, she watched as her old mate turned to ash in front of her. She had never felt more alive, but at the same time, she had never felt so dead. amazing lore by excessnight |

Despite being a guardian, who are always thought to be more bold and social, Lumina is the opposite. She doesn't like interacting with others much due to the fear of hurting them. She's quite a sad and lonely dragon, and likes to mostly stay in her cave and sleep. Because of her past volcano experience, she's both blind and mute. However, she has a gift of minimal telepathy, so that she can communicate slightly with others. She also frequently has pain in her muscles and bones, resulting in her not being able to move very well sometimes. Luckily, this has gotten rarer over the years. She tends to have trust issues, due to her former mate betraying her. This makes it very hard to form relationships with Lumina. She's close to very few dragons; her best friend would be Aldhorn, the clan's healer. He was the only dragon who wasn't afraid of her after she had been saved, and he also has telepathy which helps them communicate better. Lumina's biggest fear is hurting others. For this reason, she never takes off her blindfold. If she did, any dragon she looked at would burst info flame and turn into ash like her mate did. The Flamecaller has always told her that she'd be a powerful soldier, but Lumina can't stand the thought of it. She's very insecure about herself and tends to think that she's the worst dragon ever, but really, she's one of the kindest dragon's you'll ever meet. She's selfless and always puts others before herself, even if she does isolate herself all the time. |
