The sphynx drops the book as it begins to vibrate, pages flipping to the very center. Light streams from it like sunlight through clouds. The ink begins to pull from the page, twisting and shining in the air as it forms a winged shape. The light twists around the inky shape, dying it brown and green and gold, and shaping a halo behind its head. It solidifies, hanging in midair- a dragon with wings spread wide, draped in shimmering fabric, its edges laced in gold runes. The sphynx sees none of this.

Norrow is a dramatic, somewhat stern individual. She speaks in a booming voice, loud and clear, at least until Crow scolds her for being loud in the library. She is a spirit, and doesn't have to eat or sleep, but often indulges herself in good food and naps in library alcoves. She is fiercely protective of the book she is bound to. The only one allowed to touch it is Crow, and even then, Norrow keeps an eye on her. She trusts her of course, but that book holds her whole existence.

Norrow is a spirit, bound to a book. She has little memory of her existance before the book. She was used as a familiar/spellbook/scrying glass by some awful wizard, and after his death, she remained trapped in the book. Now, she's been freed, by the librarian, Crow. Though angry at first, she soon relaxed, realizing she was free. She soon fell for the librarian, and now assists her in her library.
