Edit/Note: This lore has been completely replaced and needs to be rewritten.

Emre was happy with his decision to become a mail carrier- what wasn't to love? One week he would be home in the familiar skies of the Plateau, the next week pressing against the freezing winds of the Southern Icefields, and the one after that he could be gliding over the ominous thorny mass of the Tangled Wood.

Oh, and the Viridian Labyrinth. Nature's territory showed up on his destination list all the time.

Conflicted feelings twisted in his stomach whenever he saw that address on his itinerary. The Labyrinth was terrifying in a deep, quiet way, but also beautiful. Curiosity about what the world under the shadow of those massive trees must be like always gnawed at him; but the idea of actually going in there, surrounded on all sides and the sky blocked off, made his chest go tight.

He quickly realized that most of his trips into Nature's territory were to visit the same tiny green and white Fae, named Kaleen, over and over again. It was for her gardens, she told him- seeds and dried herbs going out, new seeds coming in, all the time. Emre was just a touch disappointed. Gardening sounded so boring, after all. Hours spent stooping down on the ground, poking around in the dirt, waiting for plants to do their thing. He had almost hoped that she had been up to something more mysteious than that, to match the mystery of the shadows under the trees.

His opinions about gardening being boring were shattered the next spring, when he came by for a drop off and found that the boring, scruffy patch of earth where he was used to meeting Kaleen had erupted into splashes of gold, crimson, and royal purple bright enough to match any of the kites in his homeland.

Wildflowers, Kaleen told him. Just like that. 'Wildflowers.' With a shrug, offhand, as if it were nothing.

Everything shifted after that. He still didn't have the nerve to go inside the trees- he hardly had the nerve to stand close enough for their shadows to fall across him, blotting out the sun- but he wanted to know more, to see more. He was full of questions about wildflowers, gardens, orchards, anything that would help him picture the tides of color spreading like a bright ocean inside and around the Labyrinth. Kaleen, amused and pleased to have such a huge, enthusiastic puppy of a new fan, was happy to tell him all about it. She even started new gardens, out in the open where he could see them more easily, painting the Everbloom with wildflowers that would nod in the wind for him.

Eventually Emre had to admit to himself that while he still loved to travel back and forth across Sornieth to carry out his duties as a messenger, the place he wanted to call home between assignments had relocated itself.
