Tetsuo

“Tetsuo, knock it off!” Haruka giggled, the male in question nuzzling his face into her neck. Tetsuo ran his hands gently down her bare back, over the raised scars between her shoulder blades, eyes narrowing in anger/
How dare they hurt her. He thought to himself, his grip on the female he was clinging to tightening.
“Hey, that’s starting to hurt.” Haruka whined, trying to squirm out of his grip for her own comfort.
Tetsuo released her, staring at her bare chest. Haruka saw an unfamiliar glint in his eyes, something almost predatory in his gaze. Like he was sizing her up.
“Tetsuo? Are you okay?” She asked, wrapping her arms around herself out of embarrassment.
Tetsuo looked as if he was going to reply, but suddenly gripped his head in pain, hunching over and letting out a groan. Haruka gasped, “Tetsuo!”, not knowing what was happening to the male in front of her.
He didn’t offer a response, too busy trying to get the pain in his head under what little control he had. Haruka gently placed a hand upon his head, gently guiding him towards her chest for comfort, which he gladly accepted.
He felt the pain subside as he buried his face into his lover’s chest. Wrapping his arms around her waist.
This was how they mostly spent thir time together. If it wasn’t sex, it was migraines and comfort. The balance between these two extremes wasn’t as equal as both of them would have liked, but they made do with what they had.
After all, they were perfect for each other.
Tetsuo suffering from chronic migraines and the loss of his arm (including the pain of the replacement) and Haruka having almost disfiguring scars along her back.
If you asked their friend Kaneda, he would say that he was jealous of the unadulterated love between the two. They were never a couple for public displays of affection, but everyone else had no problem realizing the relationship between the two.
Tetsuo looked up at Haruka who had become distracted while absentmindedly stoking his hair. Every time he looked at her he would flash back to the day that she was attacked.
Kaneda had brought her to him that day, bloodied and unable to stand on her own two feet. Tetsuo subconsciously blamed Kaneda at first, remembering that he had told Kaneda to watch over her while Tetsuo was gone. However, the two of them had come to an unspoken agreement that they would track down her attackers and make them pay. Whether that included death, they weren’t quite sure.
Haruka lost both of her sisters that day, mourning their lost the best she could as she was stitched up and healed to the best of Meringue’s ability.
There are days where she wished she had joined her sisters. On these days Tetsuo drops whatever he is doing to spend time with her. He couldn’t imagine his life without Haruka.
After all, she made the migraines go away. He doesn’t know how she does it, but she does. If you ask her, she’ll say “Oh I am FAR from being that important to someone,” but she’ll still blush in embarrassment because she knows her ability despite her denial.
It’s an equal balance. Haruka makes Tetsuo’s physical pain go away, while he makes her emotional pain go away, even if both are only temporary.
