Cluaran was born from an accidental clutch of eggs, a mistake of a daughter that her parents had never meant to have. Before she and her nestmates were born, her father even though about crushing the eggs. Luckily, the clan leader stopped him before he could follow through. More hardships were to come once the eggs were hatched. The clan was not prepared to handle five more sudden additions, so the siblings found themselves scattered across Sornieth living with distant relatives and whatever friendly clans were willing to take them in. Cluaran was sent to live with her father's parents, two mysterious and magical Fae who practiced uncommon, but powerful magics. Her grandparents taught her their secret magics, delighted to have an apprentice, and even more delighted to have a granddaughter. As Cluaran grew older, she learned that her magic didn't just come from her father's parents, but also her mother's parents, who were both blessed with incredibly strong wind magic, and Cluaran seemed to have inherited the magic from both sides of the family. Her grandparent's clan was a huge Nature clan living with the Behemoth in the center of the Viridian Labyrinth. While Cluaran was proficient with both Lightning magic and Nature magic, her real joy was using her skills to communicate with the wild creatures that lived within the forest. When Cluaran was old enough, she left her grandparents and set out to find a place to practice not only her magic, but also her animal husbandry. She learned of the Clan of Milk and Honey through her other grandparents, two Wind Flight ambassadors. One of their friends had set up residence in the Clan of Milk and Honey, and from what they had heard, it would be the perfect place for Cluaran to hone her magic, and work with animals. The journey to the clan was long, but with her powerful magic and determination, Cluaran made it all the way to the Emberglow Hearth alone. She introduced herself to Mellona, who was overjoyed to find another helper on the farm. While Cluaran is no seer, she often assists the Seer Society with their rituals, since her magic is easily the most powerful in the whole clan. Her real joy, though, is helping with the animals. She and Dukla use their powers to find out which animals are sick or hurt, and make sure that the animals are as happy as possible. Though it hurts when the meat animals are eventually slaughtered, Cluaran knows that its the circle of life, and that without death, there would be no more life. This doesn't make it hurt any less. |
