............................. 		During one Flameforger's Festival, Taeven and Marburg happened to be traveling through the Ashfall Waste. As the festivities wound down, and the travelers were preparing to continue on their way, they noticed a little spiral hatchling trailing along behind them. When questioned, he couldn't tell them what clan he belonged to, and despite searching for some time, they couldn't locate his parents or his birth clan... and so Taeven and Marburg decided to take him with them and adopt him as their own son.

Ziv is a fire dragon surrounded by ice, but that doesn't seem to have slowed him at all - rather, he seems to take the cold as a challenge to move faster and shine brighter to make up for the chill and the endless winter nights. He has been an asset to the clan, though his tendency to zip through the archives without much care for what he might knock over is a constant annoyance - in his youth, he learned to pull the magma in Sornieth's core a little closer to the surface beneath the vault and create a natural source of heat deep in the mountain, a comfortably warm shelter for those dragons a little more sensitive to the cold.

His natural excess energy has been put to good use as well. The winds in the Crags are unpredictable, and particularly deadly to dragons not use to traveling in such cold climes, but Ziv has been flying here all his life, and therefore has become the aerial escort to Firnhold, in charge of guiding outsiders through the mountains to reach the isolated vault. He hasn't lost anyone yet.
