She grew up in an Arcane clan and was expected to learn magic and spellwork; however, Scappare wasn't having any of that. When she was old enough she ran away to the Stormcatcher's domain and developed a strange obsession with anything steampunk: everyone in the clan calls Scappare the steampunk queen. She loved technology and from then on HATED any use of magick, causing Scappare to have a rocky relation with many of her clanmates. (She was never good in spellwork anyway...) |
It wasn't long before she felt restless; this wildclaw had an adventuring spirit, and so she began an aimless journey across Sorienth. Scappare can rightly claim that she has visited every part of Sorienth under every deity, and strangely enough she felt inclined towards the deep waters; perhaps it was the life/death association that attracted her so. She spent many days learning to swim (it was hard...) and once she thought she had mastered this skill, she was ready to start her own clan. Unfortunately, disease struck the area and almost all of the clan members died off, since they had no healer, being a small clan. Scappare was left, and she was greatly ill. Venturing left and right she searched for some healer that would help her, each clan, not wishing to contract disease, turned Scappare away. After a few dreadful days she collapsed, unable to move from fatigue and lack of strength. It was a few hours later that Ebrilla found her; she treated the wildclaw with a potion cure that was in progress; and it worked (to her surprise.) Ebrilla, in a moment of relief and excitement, consented to let Scappare into the clan (and vouched for letting her stay). This did cause some irritation, for the wildclaw had quite the irritable temper all the same. Oddly enough, Saraid, the reserved wallflower mage, fought to let her stay. She didn't know that he would later become her mate, despite Saraid being magically inclined, nor that she would eventually come to realise that Ebrilla saved her life with MAGICK. No matter how much Scappare tried to avoid it, magic was everywhere. That didn't mean that she didn't hate it regardless. |
