My history is mine to tell, and I don't quite trust you. I'm not quite sure I remember it with any clarity. Huh.
I am aware of the rumours that I'm not a real dragon. Of course I am. I'm right here. I have sired clutches. I have to be a dragon.
It's true that I'm not the most substantial individual. There are times, I think, when branches pass right through me. Often when I'm not paying attention; I only notice afterwards, but I can pick it up, and slap it against my scales, and satisfy myself that I am solid, and I must have imagined it.
I blame Wisp, my familiar, who has been with me for as long as I can remember. He is a literal trick-of-the-light the most aetherial trickster, flicking in and out of existence, smoking through me like I'm not even here. We are never apart, and so for my whole life I have lived with his ways. I am accustomed to them, but others are not. When an insubstantial fox materialises within my breast, it's bound to cause confusion; but I assure you, it is quite normal.
Perhaps as a result of Wisp's influence, or perhaps due to my heritage, I can create things out of nothing. Almost anything I care to conjure, as large as life and perfect to the last detail. Just, please, don't try to touch them. They are mere illusions, and they will wither away if you break them.

I know some don't trust me, and sometimes I think I can't blame them. But I mean no harm, truly. I am happy here, and I don't want to leave. It is warm, and verdant. So full of life, and so many active minds. So many ideas to play with.
