HELIANTHUS
Genealogist bright | enthusiastic | witty  Helianthus is the middle of three generations that tie Clan Corpse Flower to its closest ally in light. His mother, Aurea, was born to outlander parents in the first age of Clan Corpse Flower. On one of the first diplomatic missions to Light, Aurea and her now-departed mate Acorus produced a nest of beautiful, gifted children, one of whom was Helianthus. Truly gifted, Helianthus has got it all. Looks, brains, athleticism.. and he's even humble about it. If he wasn't so perfect he'd be annoying (ok... some do find him annoying). He rose quickly through the ranks of Clan Corpse Flower's leadership, particularly after Athenaea arrived and moved the clan in a more cultured and less violent direction. However, he does prefer his books and music to negotiations and diplomacy, so he is more than happy to let his mate Veyretia take the lead on diplomatic missions. One of their sons, Raillard, is now second in command in their ally's clan. Currently Helianthus' focus is on researching lineages and family trees of clanmembers and important dragons across Sorneith. He's making quite a name for himself in the field of genealogy.
Botanically, Helianthus is the sunflower genus. The name is derived from the Greek ἥλιος : hḗlios 'sun' and ἄνθος : ánthos 'flower'.
