In the beginning, Gyfeillgar was alone. Without a home, cruelly cast out and abandoned by her home clan, she traveled through Dragonhome for many months searching for someplace to call her own. Her journey led her through great caverns and canyons, over rivers and mountains and wide, rocky tundras, and as she searched, she took in the true gift that her godly father the Earthshaker had bestowed upon the world. Before, she had rejected all gods, only seeing them as the excuses people she loved had used to hurt her, but now she felt the love and pain Earthshaker felt when he looked over his creation, and wanted nothing more then to devote her life to his service. Before she could exalt herself, though, she met Gwyrddni. Gwyrddni was almost her polar oppsite- also a devout follower of their mutual god, but firely and impulsive, a firey temper and burning passion to Gyfeillgar's calm, kindness, and occasional melencholy. They didn't get along at first, but, of course, they could find nobody else to roam the expanse of Dragonhome with. Both of them were young dragons without homes, without anyone else worrying about their whereabouts. Their love for each other bloomed slowly, like the slow-growing flowers that grew in the rich earth between the crags in the rock, but soon enough, almost before they could realize it was happening, they fell deeply in love. Gyfeillgar knew, then, that she couldn't just leave her love to serve her god. Anyway, she knew a way the both of them could do good. The two of them continued to journey, but with a goal in mind, this time. Soon enough they'd happened upon a system of old, abandoned caves, dusty and rubble-buried, and began their work. Days, weeks, months later, they had their own lair. It would be a sanctuary for others like them- lost drakes, lost purposely or accidentally, would have a home here. It would be a place to honor their ancestors and their gods, and a place to build a new family.
