Biography
Eccentric | Loquacious | Curious
Heir to one of the biggest and most lucrative businesses of Dragonhome, Diggory knew from a young age that his life was meant to be one of great luxuries. From his cavernous and glittering lair, from which the Pillar of the World appeared tall and imposing in the near distance, he watched his father build an empire, and he knew that one day, it would be his turn. With his passing, Diggory’s father left the young Spiral with the onerous task of running his money-making enterprise. A pioneer in sophisticated mining, the company employed a combination of cutting-edge technology and capable magical experts for a smooth extraction of Dragonhome’s finest gemstones. Diggory was ready, and with him as the new CEO the company did nothing but grow bigger and better, increasing efficiency and profit immensely, which left the Spiral with more money – and time – that he knew what to do with. If there was something to be said about Diggory, is that he was rather odd. His passion for history led him to fill his lair with books, and he could go on and on about whatever it was he was reading. He became a collector, going above and beyond to get his claws on some of the rarest objects in Sornieth, dreaming of ways to expand his collection. And, above all, he was reckless. Nothing was too dangerous for him, because he simply did not fear danger. A constant cause of worry for his servants, Diggory lived his life without fright, and began to crave more and more adventures. Soon the solution to his problem came to mind: he’d go out into the world, and explore every corner of it. The prospect of learning new things and finding all types of treasure filled him with determination, and so he contacted all the explorers and archaeologists he knew, ready to strike a deal with them. Success did not find him this time, and soon Diggory found himself back on square one. What was he going to do now? There has to be someone who would take him on their journeys, someone bold, and daring, and… There was one more name, though. A struggling archaeologist, no clan, all passion. Diggory stared at the picture of the Tundra for a while, studying it carefully. He smiled. Yes, he thought, this could very well work. -- Diggory glanced at the counter of the bar, where Elliot was finishing the last of his drink. He looked gloomy, the stuffy air of the bar clinging around him like a cloud. The Spiral grinned to himself, then stood up and walked towards the explorer. ‘How about I buy you a drink?’ |
