Description:
Cherry is surely the strongest dragon in the lair, ready and willing to take on any opponent for the sake of Florabrisa's honor. Her charge is her tundra mate, Chiaroscuro. If anyone or anything hurts Chiara, you can bet that Cherry will swiftly take them down.

Though Cherry has plenty of bulk, it wasn't until Ingot trained her that she was able to use her natural strength to her full advantage. She lives for the thrill of the hunt.

Despite her intimidating size and brash personality, she has a big heart and cares deeply for the well-being of her clan. She can be very tender, especially with her girlfriend.

Background:
One quiet night, Zaffre put her three children to bed, then went to sleep herself.
After a good night's sleep, the mother woke up. Her two blue sons were still resting by her, but her green daughter was nowhere to be seen.

Thinking maybe the rambunctious child had gotten up early, Zaffre asked around if any of the already awake dragons had seen her, but no one had. She checked the usual hiding spots and still, nothing. Other dragons started helping her search and soon it was evident that Luckypheel was nowhere in Florabrisa.

The news hit Tamarind hard. His dear daughter, gone with the night. He didn't even want to look at Zaffre. How could she let this happen? Their relationship had been rocky the past few years, but this. This was the more than he could take. Their children would be sleeping with him from now on. He took the two boys who were stressing about their missing sister, then called for a search party. Lucky couldn't have gotten too far...

Florabrisa was significantly smaller at the time, and there weren't any residents skilled at tracking. The search party was mostly a ragtag group of farmers and gardeners. Zaffre was the most experienced fighter in the clan, so along with her own sense of responsibility and urgency for this matter, it was easily agreed by all she should lead the troupes, though Tamarind lead a smaller search group toward the northern borders of the Windswept Plateau. Only Moraine and a teenaged Clash remained behind to watch the children.

Heading towards the waters of the Southern Icefield, Zaffre was doing her best to catch any sign a young Guardian had been through. If only Florabrisa had any Mirrors...
Days passed. Though everyone was concerned, most of Florabrisa didn't have the stamina to keep up with Zaffre and had to return to their lair to regroup and collect thoughts. Many figured Luckypheel would come back on her own. She was always such a daring kid. A natural windie. This wasn't her first venture outside the lair. But Zaffre never stopped. She couldn't. She continued searching without any help. She needed to know her daughter was okay.

Eventually, Zaffre caught wind of something. Braving the cold of the Southern Icefield was a bright green dragon, already as big as a Nocturne, with much more growing still to do. It was Luckypheel! But she wasn't alone. She was with an almost equally sized red Guardian.
The lone mother flew down immediately, landing in front of the two children. She'd found her daughter at last. Zaffre shed tears. She was so relieved. She wanted nothing more than to take her child home.

But Lucky couldn't come home.

Luckypheel, at the ripe age of 7, already decided it was time to go on her Search. And once a Guardian begins their Search, there's no stopping them. Along the way, she met Cherrytide, a similarly young and brave Guardian who also was certain she was ready for her Search.
Lucky already was feeling at home in the Southern Icefield. She loved the cool wind, the vastness of the land. She wanted nothing more than to keep going. Zaffre was just glad Lucky was doing a good job taking care of herself.

Cherrytide had come from a traveling clan who currently was in the Icefield. Though Cherry already bid the clan farewell, she wanted Lucky to meet them, feeling they would be a good fit for her and potentially aid Lucky's search. So Zaffre, with the two young girls in tow, saw through their journey to Clan Maelstrom. Her daughter was safe.

Zaffre would bring the news home. But that wasn't all she was bringing. Cherrytide, though glad to have made a new friend in Luckypheel, already planned to leave the Icefields. She agreed to go home with Zaffre and meet those Lucky had held so dear. Cherry didn't know how long she would stay before continuing on with her Search, but she felt Lucky's home deserved to hear of their short travels together.

So Zaffre returned home, not with a green Guardian, but with red.

Everyone came out to see Zaffre's arrival. After much confusion about Zaffre seemingly bringing the wrong dragon home, most understood why Lucky wasn't coming back. And Florabrisa now had a new clan member to celebrate. Cherrytide was shown around the lair, the other Guardians of Florabrisa quickly seeing her as part of their own family. She was soon introduced to Tarragon and Moraine's daughters. Cherry's heart started racing as she set her eyes on this young, shy grey Tundra. She knew right then and there that she was going to protect that Tundra with her life. And the whole clan, for that matter. She was here to stay.

Favorites:
Cherrytide is very athletic with a lot of energy she enjoys using to build her muscle strength, usually by lifting weights or playing sports with her friends. She especially likes playing football where she gets to tackle her friends!

Outside of her fitness endeavors, she enjoys listening to her girlfriend Chiara read gothic poetry to her, or just lounging around with her so they can save up energy for later. She and Chiara train with Ingot almost everyday, alternating between going out hunting and practicing combat skills, both of which Cherry loves and excels at.

Appearance:
Cherrytide has pretty small stature for a Guardian, but she more than makes up for it in bulk, being quite muscular and stocky. She has horns that curve inward, a square jaw, a pointy mouth, and downward facing fins on her head. Her spines alternate in size.

Cherry is butch and prefers masculine fashion She wears grey armor for protection while training and hunting, but in more casual settings she likes wearing simple, neutral colored clothes to contrast her bright red scales.
