Belepheron
The Exiled One

Take me home...

I feel nothing but remorse for my deeds, yet to us there is no redemption. I know they wonder what drove me here, what I am, who... A question even I begin to wonder, as my days approach their end. I cannot die here. I must set foot in my home one last time... Or live forever a ghost, frozen and lost til the end of my days.

Once a child of the Tangled Wood, Belepheron shared a nest with his brother in the depths of the Foxfire Bramble. They were an adventurous and restless pair, inseparable and wild, desperate to prove themselves worthy to their home and their Clan. To prove their skill, the brothers chose to enter the Bramble, swearing to return with the body of a prowler.

Separated during the hunt, Belepheron followed the voice of his brother, which began to tell him that he would kill the prowler alone, and that Belepheron would not leave the Bramble alive to claim the glory from him. Terrified and uncertain, he searched the brambles, following the voice until he stumbled across his twin, waiting at the entrance to the prowler's lair with blood on his snout. In a frenzy of paranoia, Belepheron attacked and killed his brother, realising his deed over the carcass of a hunted rabbit, waiting to be shared between them.

Disgraced and disowned, Belepheron was branded a fratricide, exiled to die frozen and lost in the farthest reaches of the Icefields, cursed never to take the shape of Shadow again. A lone Tundra, he wanders the endless ice of his prison, desperate to return home once again.
