Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this adventurous ex-parasite wandered a little too far from her home lair (Volrin, #261879), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to her home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Here's a link to her full backstory, since it was way too long to fit in her bio. WARNING: there's some thoroughly-described body horror in there, in case that sort of thing makes you uncomfortable.

Owners I've Had:
Volrin, #261879, Light (Home Lair)
Amorii, #288054, Ice
Dragonation, #294468, Ice
Yilara, #174630, Ice
Volrin, #261879, Light (Welcome Home!)
grxndsxn, #437722, Plague
Ruyime, #517108, Arcane

Despite her parasitic origins, Windy has been bestowed with new life by the merciful spirit of the hatchling she replaced, and is now inseperably fused with her dragon vessel. She truly hopes she can find redemption despite aiding in the spread of The Virus, and in the meantime, she won't let a second of her newfound life go to waste. She wants to see everything this world has to offer, and experience the ups and downs alike of being a real dragon.

If you're the new owner of Windy, I just want to remind you that any future nests she lays in your lair don't count as parasites; only her first nest counted towards that. Windy is no longer active in the game. Also, if you go to the Parasite Introduction game and look at the lineage document, you'll find Windy on the Virus Two sheet; at the time she was bred, she was one of the two dragons still active! This Spiral lady is truly important to the Parasites' legacy, having aided in rescuing the entire strain from extinction. -Volrin

Adventure Log:

Yilara, #174630: For too long, Windy wandered through Sorneith without a purpose once the parasite had cleared her body and she had regained control. Much of her memory of that time was lost as she learned the lessons most hatchlings picked up from birth.

Several times she had close encounters with Beastclan members as her natural curiosity got the better of her and she approached without caution. It was on one such encounter that she met Resolve.

"Get down, Spiral!" She darted aside on reflex at the sound as a Winter Wolf appeared, jaws snapping, where she had stood only moments before. A brief scuffle occurred between the wolf and a skydancer but the other dragon was clearly an experienced fighter and the wolf retreated in defeat.

"Thank you," she said, wings fluttering in apology. The skydancer was gruff as he looked her over and she quaked under his gaze.

"What are you doing out here alone?" He asked, taking in her thin appearance.

"It's a long story," she said. At his silence, she recounted a brief version of her history. By the end, he no longer seemed so harsh.

"If you need a clan to call your own, you may come with me. Our leadership is a bit...fluid, but even Aarta would not turn out one who needs a home. I believe the rest of the Circle will welcome you as well." Windy accepted his offer and followed him back to his clan.

At his request, she trained briefly with the Guard, of which he was the Captain. While she was not a skilled fighter, he ensured she could fend for herself if the need arose. Her true passion was with Chime, an old tinkerer and merchant who resided with the clan.

A spiral like Windy, Chime took the younger dragon under her wing. They spent the days gathering items and fastening them into all manner of contraptions to give to members of the clan or sell in the market to visiting clans.

Still, Windy avoided taking a mate. The memory of her infected hatchlings haunted her and while she knew that she was free of any such taint, her heart still ached with the loss.

grxndsxn, #437722: Windy found herself in a Plague/Shadow clan next. It was the first Plague or Shadow clan she'd ever visited, in fact.

Windy only wished to stay in the clan briefly, but she enjoyed how welcoming it was - she even met two other travellers, known as Isolda and Peridot. They decided to exchange stories.

Windy then decided to leave the clan, but hoped to see her new friends again soon.

Ruyime, #517108: Windy stumbled upon an Arcane clan. She had never been in the Arcan territory before. She found the Observatory very fascinating!

Windy found a clan that was willing to let her stay for awhile. She checked in with a dragon named Yona. She then went to talk to the other dragons. She found that almost all of the dragons are couples. This made Windy think of how her and Albatros used to be. She then started to think about how their children, Acari, Bedbug, and Afzelii were doing. She wondered if they passed on their parasites yet. Thinking of this made Windy very sad. She decided to leave the clan as soon as she’s done resting.

Windy decided to leave this clan after about a week. She said goodbye to everyone and headed off.

YOU HAVE OBTAINED THE PARASITE1CA6F5D7-4AC7-4805-AFD2-161CF7054C27_zpsqt3sy65j.png

Something is... off... about the hatchling you've just obtained. It smells wrong, and something about the way it looks is setting off warning bells in your mind.... YOU HAVE OBTAINED THE PARASITE.
Welcome to the Parasite Introduction! This is a game to see how far the bloodlines of these dragons spread through breeding a single nest and then being exalted.
This dragon may look like a perfectly normal dragon of its kind, but it is, in fact, not a dragon at all. It is a parasitic creature that enters dragon eggs and replaces the dragon within. The parasite takes the form of the dragon and hatches in its place. It will then flee the nest (via being sold) and find a new nest where it will attempt to breed with a dragon in this new nest. After this it dies (through exalting it) and the hatchlings of its first nest will automatically become parasites themselves.

631_gray.pngThis dragon is from the Virus Two lineage; one of the last of its bloodline.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE
If you would like to play, the rules are below! If you do not wish to participate in this game / exalt this dragon, please message @Mediscoot and let us know! Your dragon will be listed as unsuccessful (unable to spread the parasite), and will be no longer tied to the game. Please be warned, participating in this challenge does require the parasite dragon being exalted (With an exception of it being used for a breeding project, or if you really like the dragon, it will be considered exalted after the first nest.)

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME
Once you have this dragon, you must breed it with another dragon in your lair. After its offspring are hatched, you'll copy all of the text in the parent parasite's description into each of the hatchlings' bios/descriptions. Then you'll exalt the parent parasite (this doesn't include the other dragon you bred it with as they are not part of the game). All offspring must then be sold or given away so the cycle can continue. Once you have hatched the nest, or sold the parasite, please post here so we can keep track of where the parasite is spreading. It is also a way for other players to obtain more parasites.

RULES
- Parasites must be bred immediately and then must be exalted once their nest has hatched. The hatched parasites must be spread to others through trades or the AH as soon as possible. The only way out of this is if the dragon is being used in a breeding project. After the desired hatchling is hatched, you must exalt the parent and the rest of the hatchlings.
- The parasite must have the parasite information found in their bio/description.
- Please do not breed parasites with other parasites.
- Any parasite that is not exalted after breeding is considered exalted. Any offspring after the first nest are to be ignored by the game. No ifs, ands, or buts.
- For breeding projects, the parasite can be bred as many times as needed to reach a chosen hatchling. After the desired hatchling is born, the parent then should be exalted as if the game was being played normally. Only the FIRST NEST counts as new parasites, so the description should only be added onto those hatchlings.
