They say that the youngest tends to be the most loved and cherished of children, that they are, seemingly, incapable of wrong, seen as angelic and ever so pure... It's neither right, nor wrong. Sure, Jahmiin was the youngest, and yes, he was quite clearly the favored son, but by no means was he incapable of wrong. No, he was ever quite the opposite. His father quite encouraged it, his mother unopposed, she wanted nothing to do with their supposedly "fallen" and hopeless futures, and soon enough, Jahmiin was a sneak-thief mercenary like his father, cunning, with a silver tongue and a clever wit like his mother. Perhaps it was because he took after his father that he favored him so, and perhaps he may have spent more time alongside his father and his companion. Perhaps, just perhaps, he sailed with his father as the third member of their mercenary group for a time, forgetting his mother, almost considering Haojean his one true parent, his father more of a heroic figure to him, and though close, Haojean was far more capable of raising a child than either Hoaquin or his fling, Teorah, as unfortunate as it was, though Jahmiin didn't mind. |

Regardless of the circumstances of his birth, his childhood, Jahmiin lived. He thrived. The shadows were a far more fitting companion to one such as himself or his father, and Jahmiin saw successes that his father could never have imagined possible. While he certainly made his fair wage working the same basic job his father had, escorting wares on a ship, sailing off and traveling the coastal world, Jahmiin found he could charm even darkness into dancing for him, and found himself with a specialty. What better than to have a guard who could easily defend a shipment under the cover of night, when risk would ordinarily be at its highest? Certainly, He was far better than his foes, no? And handsome as well. Certainly, he was well worth the price... Of course, jobs never sailed as smoothly as they were planned. When he was at last working on his own, frequently he found it a difficulty to defend an entire shipment on his lonesome. Even with tricks and traps up his sleeve, at the end of a victorious night, he'd find himself thoroughly exhausted, worn out from fending off the ambush. He'd wonder how his father and Haojean could put up with the job, and eventually, after a particularly rough night, he'd had enough of it. Give him a caravan, a small clan, anything. He was just finished with ships and sailing and everything inbetween. Tired, he wandered town to town. Selling his leftover bounty and sleeping on either his ship or in fields. He was without purpose, without drive. he languished in this state untill happened upon by Opera while in town. They had met in a pub, where Jahmiin was drinking his sorrows away. She has heard his story, his escapades, his trumphs, and his current state. Wasting no time, she took him into the clan, no questions asked. Repubic was outraged, not being consulted on the new clan member, but his fellow co-leader silenced his issues. With his new clan in tow, Jahmiin sails again! But instead of basic escorting with his shadow puppets, he was the captain of their merchant ships, sailing the world to sell the clans goods, and bring back valuable supplies.  |
