I've never felt out-of-place here, even though I am. It's always been my home, which is not surprising because this is a place for the outcasts. I think it's a wonderful thing, really, but some of the people here do not act like outcasts whatsoever. They act like they've come from a... More civilized place.

I don't mind. I do have friends, if only a few. But they're always there for me when I need them, there to help me up when I fall, so I can't complain, really. I also tend to have little things called secrets, things that no one else besides me knows. I think no one else knows them, at least. Some people here are too nosy for their own good.

You know who you are.

I try not to take things personally, but it really is hard sometimes. It's hard when other dragons have hurt you in ways that cannot be mended, no matter how hard we both try. I try to be friends with everyone. A lot of the time I think that they just don't want to be friends with me. I find that sad because you can't miss something you never had.

I try my best to forget everything bad and only remember the good things. There are so many good things to remember, but they stay at the back of my mind, never coming forwards. The few bad things are the ones that haunt my thoughts in every waking moment. Maybe I could use a spell to just wipe my memory, to forget everything.

Thing is, this clan doesn't have a wizard. And even if it did, I wouldn't be able to ask him or her to cast the spell. That would mean leaving everything else, and, even though I don't know it sometimes, behind those bad memories are good ones, ones that I wouldn't give up for anything. I'll have to forget the hard way, then.

But it's hard to forget when you're an outcast.
