Maeve
Spymaster
The spymaster acquires intelligence for the clan, and will sometimes sell it to other clans, by spying on other clans. She has spy underlings that are coordinated by yours truly - they are often sent to other clans under the guise of a new clan member and will relay information back to the spymaster. "Don't cheat. Don't leave a good person for a good feeling." "If you are looking for a daydream, made of sugar soft love and candy cane grace, someone who never falters or makes mistakes, you have come to the wrong place. I am wolf-wild loyalty and messy mad love, I may be broken, but oh, my darling, I will give you a love as real as your own warm blood." A dragon better fitted to be of the Plague Flight than the Light Flight, Maeve seeks to coat evildoers in pestilence. Her warped sense of justice leads her to fight dragons on both sides of the law, but her persistence tells her otherwise. Other - Character Traits: Haughty, Dedicated, Loyal, Aggressive, Cunning, Unfazed, Unfaltering, Defensive, Headstrong, Stubborn - Sin vs. Virtue: Envy/Temperance - Maeve is pansexual. - Maeve is a pure Skydancer. She bears more resemblance to her mother than she does her father, sharing all her genes with her. - Likes: Plague, Sickness and Death, Earth, Kittens, Red and Orange, Quiet, Dim Lighting - Dislikes: Conflict, Bright Lighting, Crowds and Loud Noises, Blue - Secret(s): How she conducts revenge on those who have wronged her - According to the Sornieth Floriography Guide, Crisp-leaf Amaranth stands for being unchangeable. This stands for her thoughts and opinions - they cannot be swayed. - Her Wildwood Owl's name is Brawler. He is kept away from other familiars as there's a good chance that he might try to fight them, hence the name. - Just One Yesterday, Mr. Brightside - Wasteland Scavenger Maeve, Casual - Her hate for the those of the Light Flight was made further after her relationship with Windchaser came to a bitter end. Maeve caught Windchaser cheating on her with Ophelia, the astronomer. Furious, she attacked him. Ophelia managed to get the smaller Skydancer off of him, but Maeve had left WIndchaser a scar to remember on his left eye. - Maeve's name means "she who intoxicates". She wears a belt carrying vials and bottles of poisons. In the past, these poisons were supplied by Mastema, her former mate, while others were supplied by the poisoncrafter, Radinen. They both died in the Lavaburst Killings. Now, she buys her supply from more discrete sources. - She teaches every Lavaburst spy the spell Cloak. It temporarily blocks the user from others' sight. However, they still need to beware of the sounds they might make, though. - Maeve can appear mysterious to dragons who don't know her. A common first impression of her is that she's a scary, intimidating, and a murderer. - To date, Maeve has lost two lovers. One to cheating, and the other to murder. Origin Story Maeve was born into royalty of a kingdom where there were only queens and princesses. The king would remain alive, but he was more a servant than a king. Any princes would be killed off. This was the Kingdom of the Blinding. Maeve learned many things, such as good manners and different languages, but she had interests in another things. She cared not for learning how to play piano or singing, but for the crafting of poisons and spying. She often attempted to sneak away to do whatever she liked. She told her sister, Sand, of her interests and her aspiration of running away and finding a new home. Sand was outraged; those were not thoughts appropriate for a princess, for a dragon of royalty. The two began to frequently argue. Maeve began to read up on places faraway and near, such as the Hewn City and the Pillar of the World. She began to dream of greater places, cities made of beautiful marble and places where the wind whipped at your fur, feathers and scales. Rumor got out that Maeve wished to run away. Townsfolk would whisper about her as she passed by, and her parents could no longer look her in the eyes. Sand tried to convince her to stay and fulfill what she was brought up for. Tired and longing, Maeve set out on ambitious wings. For a few years, she'd wander as a scavenge, but she'd eventually meet the Lavaburst Clan and was amazed by the city of light. Their dazzling buildings... their strange, yet rather kind dragons... It was all so intriguing, new and spectacular to Maeve, so she decided to stay. To her, it was a dream come true.
