Hylia

Steadfast | Distant | Irritable

Hylia, while born of Lightning, spent a good deal of his life in both the Windswept Plateau and the Sea of One Thousand Currents. He enjoyed the land of water, greatly in fact; he fathered many children in the name of the Tidelord and felt a deep connection to the sea. However, sadly, his beloved clan fell to sickness. One by one the dragons fell, leaving a sparce few to take flight and head for safer, new homes. Most went on to pledge allegiance to other deities until at last he was the one of two remaining souls from his home clan.

Wounded and tired, he stumbled upon Kuja and Maya, who were just as alone as he was. He wasn't eager to help them; not in the slightest. He didn't like young dragons, and he was still feeling the fresh wounds of losing all he held dear. He stayed in the area, offering wisdom to the young pair in exchange for food and protection while he regained his strength. Before he knew it, a clan grew around him. He was known as one to avoid; most assumed he was all bark and no bite, but there certainly wasn't a line to test those jaws.

Time passed, and Hylia kept to himself. He spent nights soaring high, avoiding the other three imperials he didn't particularly care for; Nightlife in particular had a certain way of getting under his scales. However, one day, he spotted a pair of shimmery yellow wings folded beautifully in one of the territory's many meadows. She was peacefully warming her scales, and appeared to be the picture of contentment. And she was beautiful.

Hylia didn't understand Carwyna right away. Perhaps that was what drew him to her. Ultimately, through a bit of trial and error courtship, the pair became quiet fond of one another. She was gentle and soft; it did well to his moody demeanor. It seemed that bonding with Carwyna helped to calm the Imperial, and since her arrival he has become a slightly more approachable male.
