"Oh yes... I stole your heart and your girl. But you're too infatuated with me to see otherwise... Idiot."

Cirsei is not what she seems. Entering the clan by means of betwitching Loren, her mate, Cirsei made a few arrangements with a close friend of hers, which resulting in the theft of a little white fae. It didn't take long for her to take the fae's place. Now she has Loren completely tied around her fingers. Unfortunately it means she has had to take up baby duty, which was never part of the arrangement. Cleaning up messes and entertaining brats makes her gag, but she does it with a smile so as not to rip the illusion. She is Cirsei, a lovely hatchery attendant who takes care of the lovely hatchery children and has absolutely nothing to do with the Wendigo, the assassin or the pirates. Absolutely nothing.

She was gone. Clutching the scrap of parchment in his claws, Loren tried to read it again, before his tears smudged the ink too much. ""Loren.... ...never loved you.... too confusing... ...Can't stand a dragon of your age.... eiros is my age... ...have chosen Xavneiros..... ....Goodbye. Allegra"" His love, his charge, had left him. Whispers of hatred in his head told him it was only inevitable. He felt betrayed, confused, heartbroken, but what he hated most was the tight little ball in his chest filled with acceptance. It didn't surprise him, really, how quickly she had left. Just that she had, and taken his comrade with her. The comrade he'd chosen specifically for her. His stomach twisted, and he crumpled the letter in a fit of rage. Smashing his fist against the wall, he ran out of his lofty cabin, high in the tree, and just dropped. Aiming towards the ground, he closed his eyes and waited, but still his wings opened up and carried him safely from the hard, life-ending surface of the roots below. He couldn't even kill himself. Storming into the surrounding forest, he started biting. Trees snapped, critters ran before being trampled, saplings were decimated into splinters, bushes were ripped clear of the ground and thrown, and in the centre of the destruction stood Loren, howling. The box beside her rattled and squeaked in the echoes of his cry, but Cirsei kicked it. She knew his mate could hear Loren's crying, and didn't care. Finally, he was hers. Slinking up to the grieving dragon, who lay exhausted in the shrapnel, she pulled out her dagger. Licking it as she drew near, she quietly stepped over his tail, gathering herself up to strike. It didn't take long, either. One strike to the back of the foot, and he was angry. Flinging his head around and snapping at whatever just stabbed him, his jaws closed on empty air. She had already gone. And the squeaking, Allegra’s calling, had stopped, as her cage was carried away through the forests. It was the last time she would see her mate, chewing and digging at his foot while she gripped the bars of her cage. It was too late. The poison had started to set in. She slumped to the back of the cage and dully kicked at the shoulders of the bogsneak carrying her cage. Cirsei lay and waited. Another bogsneak had picked up the cage and was disposing of it over by the rivers, but Loren was taking his time to go down. The poison was having an effect on him, but his massive size was hindering the whole process. She rolled her eyes as he staggered, then quickly got up and ran, before he collapsed on the very spot she was hiding. Creeping over, she checked his half-lidded eyes to confirm his status, before opening his jaws. “A love potion, if you will,” she muttered as the sweet-smelling contents disappeared down his throat. Hawking up a glob of spit, she let it roll off her tongue and onto his, before closing his mouth and giving it a kiss. Stroking his forehead as he lay unconscious, she gathered her materials and disappeared back in the forest.

Rolling over and blinking at the light, Loren reached over and closed the curtains. Allegra must have left them open, he thought drowsily, as the thought faded in his mind. Rolling over, he reached out and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer. His half asleep mind twinged in a sense of not-right, but began to fade as he woke up properly. And there she was. Lying curled up in his arms, slightly draped over his chest, was his beautiful mate. “Good morning, gorgeous,” he mumbled, before slowly pushing her aside so he could stretch. His mate mumbled a reply before turning over, tail curling up around herself like it always did. Finally pulling his gaze off her lithe body, he looked around his room. Slowly, foggy memories drifted back, of a crumpled up note, a dive out of his cabin, and the smashing of trees. He must have been mad, but he couldn’t for the life of him remember why, or what that note had written on it. But there it was, a crack in the walls from where he’s punched them. Sighing, he made a note to fix it before the little lady woke up. For now, though, he was starving, and he had the foulest of tastes in his mouth, like he’d bitten a frog. He shuddered from the thought. Standing up and stretching, he stepped outside to take in the view. His cabin was at a nice height, he reckoned. When the sun wasn’t shining in his eyes, he could see all the way out to the ocean. And the view was spectacular. Opening his wings, he drifted down to the ground, pointedly ignoring the mess of splinters over by the north. Greeting Cadence, he bowed his head as the skydancer came near. “What a day!” the dancer cried, already looking like he’d been awake for a few hours. “And you’re not thinking of keeping the hatchlings cooped up all day, right?” Loren chuckled, knowing the dancer wouldn’t do so in the slightest. “Aaah, no. I was thinking of taking them over to Blush’s familiars, let them play with the animals for a bit. Did you know he has geese now?” Loren chortled. He hadn’t heard. “Say, Loren, how’s Allegra going? I haven’t heard from her in a while.” A worried thought flashed through his mind, before the fog of early morning settled again. That name didn’t have a ring of familiarity to it. “Who?” And in her bed, high up in the Great Tree, Cirsei rolled over and stretched, making herself comfortable in Allegra’s old spot.
