12/01/16 The Plague had become the Guardian's charge. It was unclear if she had failed her Necromancer Trials due to an inability to cure illness or a staunch unwillingness. Regardless, she wished to serve the Plaugebringer faithfully for the rest of her days and was assigned to fulfill her duties underneath the Necromancer, Kobari.
Years later, when Kobari's son, Ichorclaw, was preparing to complete his three trials, Yafim was tasked to accompany him to the Wyrmwound. As success of the young Necromancer seemed imminent, Yafim attentively paid Ichorclaw's new clan a visit to ensure they were both worthy and prepared for a Necromancer's grand entrance.
03/19/18 Yafim had come to the Wyrmwound twice before. Her body was a mosaic of pestilence and Rot acquired from her travels. As a Necroservus, she had proven her strength in outlasting the contagion. It was only the last of the Three Trials that eluded her. While she could inoculate another with the touch of a claw, she never once moved to curb the ensuing illness, yet it was this divine gift that distinguished Mother’s chosen from the lot of Rot ridden denizens of the Scarred Wasteland. Many Plague creatures could develop some form of natural resistance against disease, often carriers for dangerous pathogens, but it was only the most skilled of Plague infectionists that could manipulate blight as a macabre art of life and death.

Birth Month Yafim came from a turbulent clan of the Wasteland. She does not recall her birth date, however, she insists she is, "Older than the young germs of The Cell." Instead she began celebrating annually on a date she holds special to her. The gossipy survey team suspect that it was the day her young master, Ichorclaw, cleared The Second Trial of Survival. |
Yafim thus abandoned the Wyrmwound a proud Necroservus, servant to death alone. That was a while ago, however. The last time she had come was to escort a young Ichorclaw, and now it was on behalf of her daughter that she repeated the perilous journey, hatchling in tow, through the predators, the Rot, and the tendrils.
4/18/18 The bustle as of late entertained Yafim though she had a few bemused misgivings about the young priest's ability to handle it. Between the births of new hatchlings destined for the Wyrmwound and a clutch of her own on the way, it would make for an interesting balancing act to sufficiently provide for and guide the new germs. Above all, as stewards of Mother's teachings she knew that Ichorclaw and her daughter both would feel the compulsion to spread Her word, Her disease, and Her acolytes. Perhaps this was why it was unusual for more than one Necromancer and Necroservus pair to reside at one clan. The zealousness was unbridled. In the span of a month the three of them had all trekked to the Wyrmwound with new, young dragons to test at The Trials, and with the birth of her new clutch, she was about to return once more.
