Arrived in the Clarus Clan on November 30th, 2016
Nightbloom is a quiet old soul in a young dragon’s body. They tend to stay to themself; they have never quite known how to interact with others properly. Oftentimes, it seems as if Nightbloom’s attention is caught elsewhere, in another time or perhaps even another realm. They prefer to remain on their own, rather than interact with other dragons or even other creatures. If a BeastClan member or other familiar ever attaches themselves to Nightbloom, the Fae will merely ignore its existence, pretending that nobody is there. When other dragons approach, the Fae turns to them with wide eyes and then they watch the scene carefully, without a word - they always act as if they are unaccustomed to other dragons and their cultures. It’s possible that that is the truth. Nightbloom was born not too long ago in the Tangled Wood, to quite regular parents. So it seems quite strange that their child turned out odder than most. The Fae was unattached and distant even as a hatchling. It was as if Nightbloom knew something the others did not; or perhaps that Nightbloom had seen it all, and was bored of the world. Tired. Weary. |

Nevertheless, Nightbloom approached dragons and any social relationship with a perpetually shocked, wondrous expression, never taking part but constantly observing. Some dragons think that they are clueless, naive. And they don’t deny it. |

It is not often that Nightbloom decides to take action. But when they do, it is clear that they are not interacting with other, regular dragons. Befitting such a strange dragon, Nightbloom has become a guide for spirits to cross over into the next world, and sometimes to cross back. At least, that’s what Nightbloom has shared with his very real mate, Kiana. Kiana believes them, but not all of their Clanmates do. Because of Nightbloom’s private garden where they grow a collection of their namesake, an invasive vine with hallucinogenic properties and intoxicating scents, some of the other Clarus dragons think Nightbloom is forsaking the Clan’s foremost value of truth. Some of the Clan considers Nightbloom rebellious, although the Fae only uses the moon plant as a decorative arrangement; sometimes, Zana likes to come by and take a few leaves for their tea, causing even more rumours to abound. The spirit guide and the forest fairy just laugh it off; they get along well together. Nightbloom is more active at night, becoming almost restless. They can often be found flying through the wilderness or tending the gardens after Flora has gone to sleep. Often, Nightbloom likes to join Zana on silent flights, as well. This is to be expected from a combination of Shadow and Nature. When Nightbloom is not with another corporeal dragon, the spirits like to follow them around. They are kind and gentle with these spirits, moreso than with any other living dragon. |
