Amethystfeather… her past is unclear to most, other than her mate of course. The young Skydancer doesn’t typically like to talk about it. The clan respects her privacy and doesn’t nag her about it, so I took it upon myself to do the nagging for her. Prepare yourself for a story unlike any you’ve heard before.

Amethystfeather was born to a Lightning clan where everything was actually very nice for her. She was raised with care and loving hands, and taught the good and bad of the world. What could have possibly gone wrong?

Amethystfeather is a bold young dragon by nature, so one day, she went out to find something to do for a while. Instead, she found Amberstreak. Or, rather, he found her. She was chasing a duskrat when suddenly, several huge Guardians surrounded her.

Amethystfeather was afraid, naturally, because she had no clue how to fend for herself. She hadn’t been taught to fight. These dragons were also huge. They began to shout at her about intruding in their territory, and how she was going to have to be punished. Amethystfeather was startled, mostly because she hadn’t even realized she was out of her territory.

Suddenly a voice sounded off to the side. “Pick on someone your own size,” he said. Amethystfeather looked at him. It was a handsome young Skydancer. He grinned at her, and she couldn’t help but feel immediately safer about the whole situation. Then he turned to face the Guardians.

Shockingly, he seemed to be a caster, and he was able to knock pretty much every single one of them out with a swipe of his claws. Amethystfeather was impressed and entranced all at once, and as soon as he finished, he landed easily in front of her.

After he introduced himself, she asked where he was from. Amberstreak merely shrugged and said he had no idea, mostly because he had no clan. Amethystfeather, being a very kind-hearted yet intelligent dragon, knew that she couldn’t just leave him to himself after he’d saved her life like that.

She invited him into the clan, and the two of them soon fell in love. Amberstreak taught her how to fight and use her magic, and she taught him how to heal and use his magic for things other than offensive measures. Including spells that she had made up herself.

Eventually, after the two of them realized that they weren’t hard-working scientists like the rest of the Lightning flight, she and Amberstreak determined that they just didn’t belong there. So the two of them set off to find a place they could belong.

After months on the road, Amethystfeather found that she was about to have her first clutch of eggs. Amberstreak suggested they settle down right where they were. The Light region seemed like a welcoming place. But they needed to find a clan with a nesting ground they could use. It was too dangerous to nurse young while traveling.

Eventually, they ended up here. And here was where Amethystfeather had her first nest, and Amberstreak became a proud father. Eventually, she was offered the position of being on a Coliseum team, protecting her new clan. She eagerly accepted.

____This dragon was born with the instincts of a Guardian. She always wanted to protect those she cared about and those who cared about her. This is why she was so happy when they gave her the Coliseum position.

Her most honored virtue is loyalty. She would never betray anyone she loved, and she is perhaps the most faithful mate ever to live in the Light territory. Amethystfeather is beyond loyal at times, and can even be called selfless in that she would die for her loved ones and her beliefs without any hesitation.

Amethystfeather, believe it or not, is not perfect. She is occasionally stubborn, and even if giving up is the logical choice, she refuses. That makes her somewhat reckless at times, even though she likes to consider herself reasonable.

Unfortunately, Amethystfeather is also a tad pushy when it comes to things she wants. But she is brave. It takes quite a lot to frighten her, and even those things can’t truly scare her out of her opinions or beliefs.

____
Amethystfeather loves to learn. She is very curious and always eager to try something new. Nothing makes her happier than the library or other things like it. She is gentle and caring to those she loves, but she is straight up dangerous when it comes to enemies. Most of the dragons in the clan trust her with their lives.
Amethystfeather is quite content with her life. She is rarely unhappy, though she definitely doesn’t take failure well. She only does what she knows is right, which is always what benefits those around her. This young Skydancer doesn’t have much to complain about, not anymore. She is a happy young adult.

No one knows why she doesn’t like to talk about her history. Except Amberstreak. He knows it brings her pain to think about her old clan, and how she left them without warning when they loved her so much. She often feels that she betrayed them, even though she did what many dragons do and found her own life.

Nonetheless, she manages to avoid thinking about it as long as she doesn’t mention her old clan. Instead, she just kind of sticks around and focuses on the present, something she hasn’t done in a long time.
