Prince of Decay Though Bhaska may not realize it, his time in the Wastelands have left him permanently changed in many fundamental ways. Illuminated Path to Plague Bhaska was born to an Ancient Lair in the heart of the Lightweaver's domain. His birth clan values aesthetic and beauty above all other things. His parents are of Plague, but they do not falter before their clan's high standards, each a paragon of the brutal and grim iconography of the Plaguebringer. After learning all he could, he departed from his home in search of inspirations, and to spread the produce of his talents. First, he came to the Tangled Wood, finding a temporary home there among the shimmering shadows. Among this royalty of the dark Bhaska thought he would stay, but he soon grew unhappy with the place. The clan there seemed to have no use for his insights or skills, and he suffered a low rank and plain-looking mate. So he continued West. While most dragons might have gone around the Scarred Wasteland, Bhaska did not. He felt drawn to the place - its tribal aesthetics, and bloody revelry. He was confident in his abilities to survive the hostile landscape, due to his heritage. He was somewhat mistaken. The Plaguemother is not a gentle teacher, though she and her domain did have much to teach him. Eventually, he was found in the maddening expanse of the Boneyard by a dragon that did not immediately try to kill and eat him. An imposing sight Bhaska hardly was at this point - withered away to bone and stubborn sinew, his belly raw from crawling great distances along the ground. The dragon approached him and led him to a road, informing him of an outpost that was not so far away. Bhaska followed the road and found the outpost. It was constructed from hide, mainly, strung up on the skeleton of some primordial thing that dwarfed even the drained Imperial. Bhaska wondered if it might have been an Emperor from an age long past. Some ancestral sign waiting here for him. It wasn't, but by now it should be quite obvious Bhaska is a vain and self-involved sort. |

Bhaska remained at the outpost for a long time. In return for food and board, he worked his trade to build up the structure into a hardy shelter. He drew inspiration from the bones of the beast. Eventually, it stood out as a jewel in the boneyard, a hideous and beautiful totem to the Plaguebringer. It was then he learned of the Clan who has claim upon the territory, and their lair not too far on the heights of the Rotrock Cliffs above. This is because the Clan's Queen had come herself to view him and his handiwork. He found her beautiful and enthralling. It was not her appearance, but something else in her intangible presence. When she asked him to join her clan formally, he accepted straight away. Work Within the Clan Bhaska himself only rarely works towards the direct construction of his designs these days, preferring to leave that work to underlings. He is, however, a perfectionist who is not above getting his hands dirty when absolutely necessary. He oversees the expansion of the lair in general, save for a few, most sacred spaces - The Vault, Library, Nesting Chambers, and Lower Reaches, which are looked after by the dragons of each of those domains instead. He also tends to construction and projects outside the main lair but still reside in the heart of the clan's territory. Beyond this domain, the resident beastclans and unaffiliated dragons are allowed to do mostly as they please. They can call upon Bhaska's guidance, but it does not come cheap.
