Of all the dragons in the lair who could be called powerful, Ordin is perhaps the strongest. Many also question Ordin's goals, and his origins.

Shrouded in his cloaks and able to call upon a mystical pink-hued flame at will, nobody knows the true extent of Ordin's magical prowess. While he does not actively shoo company away and will speak with others for as long as he has tolerance for social norms, everybody agrees that Ordin is impossible to read and leaves them with an inexplicable but eerie feeling. There is never emotion behind his eyes or in his tone; the dragon behaves like an emotionless husk.

His flames, soft and pink, have regularly appeared in the den and surrounding areas even when Ordin himself has not been nearby, and on several occasions have these flames lead dragons into Ordin's lair. Twice he has done this when youngsters have travelled astray and gotten lost; while Ordin has never harmed a dragon of the lair, there are countless strangers that he could have lured to his location without anybody ever noticing.

When Ordin first arrived at the lair, he was a powerful mage, but seemed perfectly normal. A studious dragon, the Imperial had a particular love for magic and a particularly keen interest in the study of spirits and will-o-wisps. It was one night, not particularly long after his arrival, that Ordin disappeared for several hours.

Not uncommon for him, either, and nobody was alarmed. But on Ordin's return, the dragon seemed completely different. He looked aged somehow, even though physically he had not changed, and Ordin's demeanour had changed entirely. Several still believe that Ordin died that day and his body usurped by a spirit that had lured him away to begin with.

After that, Ordin quickly became the most magically powerful dragon in the lair. He still behaved amiably to the other dragons, and he treated familiars and smaller creatures well, thus not incurring the wrath of Errenkai and reassuring Shen that he meant not harm, changed or not. Ordin has also come to the aid of the lair several times; from luring lost hatchlings back to the den or offering enchantments to protect the warriors and the scouts, the Imperial has never turned away another. Ordin was also responsible for placing protective enchantments on the nesting grounds, and has completely banished the likes of Reve and Lani from several areas through powerful curses.
