Garnet is the old matron of the nomadic ones. Gentle and understanding, she is the one with common sense and keeping the more flighty ones in check, a task that can be difficult at times. While Quartz is the one saying where to go, Garnet is the one who says how and when. They never stay very long in the lair, but with portals and wings the rest of the clan is never far away. Part of the reason to travelling is that even with all the magic around her she is not really comfortable with being on a floating island - she needs firm ground under her claws.

Creator at heart, Garnet’s help with the lair was enormous and while most of the lair is now pure magic, her work still lingers in the old tunnels and halls. She now takes commissions and odd construction/planning jobs here and there when travelling, creating and learning new.

When leaving the lair Garnet took a great chunk of the main library with her as a loan. She has been reading through the whole library, committing the knowledge to her memory and also reporting interesting bits of any new knowledge to the lair. In addition to the clan’s books, she has been loaning and buying texts from various other clans as well.

The general rule of the nomads is “do not mess with Mama Garnet”. She is bookish and gentle, but attacking her caravan is not a wise decision since her drive of learning has gifted her with high skill in geomancy. Attackers will be quickly stomped and buried so thoroughly that even Gutbuster is happy with the outcome.
