With a heart brimming with unbridled fury, Embla was a terror forged from hardships in the wild. Her claws were sharpened on the bones of those that sought to end her, and her skill born of necessity, but in the end it wasn't enough. When she faced defeat, it was not at the claws of the unmerciful, but of a whole new life welcoming her home.

______THE WILD CHILD CRUSHED BY FURY
Anger is what drives her, courses through her veins, and burns her from the inside out. And yet her heart is as cold as the Icefields themselves, cold enough to let her be as brutally efficient as she has to be, for she's the one willing to shoulder the burdens others cannot. She steps up when others crumble.
It is Embla that steps up when there's dirty work to be done, it's she that is left facing the impossible odds, and she comes out on top every time.
Because she has to. Failure can never be an option.
Though her fury has lessened some with time, no longer as much of a raging inferno as it had to be when her life constantly depended on it, she knows it will never leave her-- it is the warmth in her soul, throbbing in tune with her heart, and keeping her warm in the frigid lands she now refuses to leave behind. And she allows it to run wild when she fights.
Most dragons do not feel their fury first. And it makes it difficult for her to truly settle among the others, to relate to them in any way, but she's long past lingering on the thought, for it is what it is. Those that stay in Valhall will learn to deal with her presence, she knows, and the rest never mattered in the first place.
It's not like she's intentionally cruel, she's simply not that great at being nice.
And when they formed their own unit, the Bloodwing Squad, Embla felt the ground stabilize beneath her. She'd been offered something grand, though she hadn't realized it at first, and it was an opportunity to use her skills to the fullest- just her and her siblings, tearing through the lands, doing what others could, or would, not dare attempt. Embla led them into a grandeur most could only dream of, teaching them all she knew and then some, and the wilderness that lingered within her found a way to return to the true wilds, too, in a roundabout way. There were days when she wouldn't be soothed by the bloodiest of slaughter, beating down their foes in the hundreds, and some days she were content to sit back, to allow her siblings to take the lead, without feeling the need to get claws dirty in the same ways she always had. It were better, that way, and less chaotic. And the more peace she found, the more at ease she became, the easier it was to be nice to the others- why, she even learned to like Eydis, the two going from bitter rivalry to tight-knit and iconic within too many moons passing.

E Y D I S Once the dust of their initial arguments settled, they got along decently. Sort of. With strong personalities, and evenly matched skills, Embla never could get the better of Eydis in the way she wanted to. And whilst it began as a rivalry, bitter and rough, it slowly morphed into something else. What, exactly, she didn't rightly know-- but Embla would admit, it was special, and she regretted nothing. |

As the oldest of the three, Fafnir tends to think himself quite important. He wants his opinion to be heard and respected- Embla, however, thinks he's a right lil punk. In fact, she could care less about his little Moments of attitude, and whilst she loves him dearly she's particularly hard on him because she wants him to succeed. To be strong enough to protect their other siblings, to ensure he'll be alright, and Fafnir doesn't quite understand that. Still, they're close, and no matter how turbulent their relationship might seem they'd move mountains for each other without hesitation. |
