Venus

Named after the planet itself that shines bright like the first star in the night, Venus was Akiela's first apprentice. Although their elements were not the same, Akiela was still able to teach Venus many great tips and strategies for improving her magic and finding ways to translate Arcane spells into Ice. The results were always different, but Venus was still able to greatly improve because of her proud teacher! As Venus grew older, she knew that she would one day have to depart from Akiela's side and use her magic to start her own life's beginning. This was Akiela's desire for her dear student, so it came to be. The mages parted ways and begun their own, new journeys in life.

Venus had decided she was going to continue growing her knowledge in magic, and by doing so, traveled to her native land in the Southern Icefield. She had grown up in the Starfall Isles with Akiela, so she never did have an abundant supply of Ice to absorb and work with. Venus was determined to challenge herself as an Ice mage and trekked through the bitter, harsh winds of the Fortress of Ends. Only the bravest and strongest dragons could survive in such a wasteland, but Venus had experience. She wanted to take the stinging storm on and make Akiela proud! She embraced the bitter cold and used it as a power source to create spells more powerful than before... And more... What started off as basic spells becoming bigger slowly turned into spells of forbidden words and rituals. The storm was starting to consume Venus, but not in such a way where she turned into solid ice. It's bitter winds and brutal temperatures corrupted Venus' mind, but her pride and stubbornness didn't let her escape winter's grasp. A storm was created in her heart as she wanted to gain more power.

Years had passed since Venus had ever even thought of Akiela. All of her memories had faded away in the storm and her power drove her to corruption. Venus had gained enough power to overtake an ancient clan in the Fortress of Ends where she became their new leader and drove everyone into a power-hungry state. To survive in such harsh weather, her clan had to be just as cold. Venus had created a fortress of her own that towered over the clan, surrounded by guards, signifying her power and authority. With her power corrupting her mind, Venus challenged many other clans to vicious battles and would freeze up anyone in her path if they gave her soldiers a legitimate challenge. This lust for authority over clans was only becoming more vile. That all changed when she one day saw a new challenger on the horizon... Was this truly a fool trying to take Venus' place, or was this a follower?


The Royal War




The wanderer who had survived the eternal blizzard of the Fortress of Ends. Upon his head was a crown. Perhaps a king from another land? Whatever the status, he was not here for a confrontation, but rather, a request. He introduced himself as Orion and flattered Venus, admiring her leadership skills and strong power in magic. He came to request Venus' assistance in overthrowing the leader of his own clan, giving him the right to rule over the dragons there.
He bribed her with a fortune and manipulated her.

"Do you not remember she that overshadowed you?" He asked the dragoness before him.
"The Arcane witch who only used your Ice magic to make herself look stronger for the Arcanist? Akiela of the Starfall Isles?" The name rang a bell... Venus had very fuzzy memories of being taught by another dragon, but it had never occurred to her that she was being used.
With enough bribing with riches and promises of power, Venus sealed the deal with Orion.
An attack on Sokuna was to be set into action the upcoming dawn. War on clan dominance had begun.


Sokuna was not the only clan receiving attacks and intruders. Troops from the Arcane clan started swarming into Venus' fortress to strike back. Venus found herself fighting head-on with a Skydancer mage from the enemy clan and she fought well... Too well. It was almost as if her attacks were mirroring Venus' spells, just in the form of another element. Venus' memories of Akiela were becoming more bold. This was her new apprentice. The rivalry became much more personal to Venus and her attacks became more aggressive. She had been sending enemies in to invade Sokuna for long enough and the Skydancer, Ruby, had enough. She was determined to take down this wretched sorceress and the traitor that bribed her to start war in the first place. The battle in Venus' fortress lasted for hours and both the mages ignored their tiredness to try and out-brute the other. It all came to a halt when Siorus, a Wildclaw from Ruby's clan, came carrying the now unconscious Orion in his jaws. He had defeated him in battle, but his dirtied heart still ticked. It was then when Venus knew she was becoming outnumbered. This Akiela who was so fuzzy in her memories was clearly stronger than her and Venus had found herself working for the wrong dragon. In her stubbornness, she tried to prove herself stronger, but was easily taken down by Ruby and Siorus. Her vision went blank and all was silent and still.


Venus woke up in a strange, glowing cavern. The walls, floor, and ceiling were pink, indicating that this was not her own clan. Strong, magic-infused bars stood between her and her freedom. This was a prison. Venus had lost and was now going to pay for her vile actions. She heard footsteps coming her way in the dark prison and standing before her, behind the bars, was another female Coatl. She wore the crown that Orion was originally wearing and it seemed that some of her plumage had faded. As Venus processed who this was, fear struck her heart and she pleaded the dragon to leave her be. This was Akiela. Akiela didn't hesitate to tell Venus that in order to pay for his actions, Orion had been executed. Venus was sure she was going to be the next one to die, or even tortured. But Akiela had no intention in doing so to Venus. Once someone is Akiela's student, she sees them as her child forever. Although she had to dispose of her vile husband, she couldn't bring herself to end the life of someone she raised. Akiela started a slow, but successful magic process to clear Venus' mind of the corruption the Fortress of Ends shrouded her with and slowly restored her memories. The war had ended and Venus has not returned to her clan, for she does not deserve to be held in such a royal stance for the mistakes she's made. Instead, she pleaded to stay with Akiela and relearn her ways. Akiela accepted and Venus now lives in Sokuna. Although many were very wary of her in the beginning, things have changed between Venus and the rest of the clan. The only conflict that's left is that Venus and Ruby still have rivalry with each other, mainly out of Venus' own jealousy. But with Akiela now keeping a close eye on her, Venus cannot cause any harm to the clan. She's become close friends with Yzakin.
