Yara was brought to the Highland Refuge as a part of the Imperious Rescue. They and their long-time mate Zelen were both set to serve one of the deities, though they feared that such servitude would separate them. They instead chose to find new clans, though it did end up separating them. However they still stay in contact and maintain a steady relationship.

If you didn’t know any better, you might think Yara was a wind dragon. Their undisciplined lifestyle is very incongruous with their flight affiliation, but what's someone to do. An alchemist and inventor by nature, Yara is always looking for new discoveries. They're often seen in the fields and forests near the lair flanked by Bayou and Orleans as they search for ingredients to mess around- ahem, experiment with. They are very close to the two young dragons, and is happy to be among like minds. They can also be found arguing with the military sect over resource commissions and the clan status with the Serthis.

Despite having their own pursuits to attend to, Yara took on a position as leader of the clan’s academics and scholars. They oversee all of their forays and makes sure that nothing will affect the clan in any negative ways. They were happy to take on the title of leader of the Scholars, and were honored to be chosen.

has singed their eyebrows, beard, and mane off too many times to count. Bayou insists on french braiding their mane and beard so it's out of the way before conducting volatile experiments.
