He wakes to the sun overhead and staring back at him. The Skydancer shifts in his spot and sits upright. He finds a book open to his left side and the pages in shambles from where he left it half-open opposed to finding an adequate bookmark. With a grimace he plucks the book from the forest floor and grabs a leaf. He shoves the leaf between the end of one chapter and start of another before snapping the book shut and holding it weakly in one hand.

Stiles looks up at the sun and glares. He pulls the collar of his turtleneck up over his mouth and stands.

"One day," he mutters as he turns and stalks back to the shadows. "I will kill you, god of the sky."

Rarely seen without the Sornieth-equivalent of a legal guardian, "B" Bridgette, the Skydancer-like being known as Stiles is often tucked away within the former's gardens. He tends to the shadows of the trees and blooming flowers and cites an extreme distaste for sunlight on any given day. While the dragons of Pendulum are known to witness him on occasion during visits with B very few have actually managed to hold a legitimate conversation with Stiles and as such most information regarding who he is and where he comes from remains a mystery.

Those who know Stiles acknowledge he prefers it that way. He is a reclusive and quiet individual with little desire to become wrapped up in larger crowds let alone the frustrating clan politics of Pendulum and neighboring clans. He has his own wants, needs, and goals to accomplish and they do not rely on the dragons of Sornieth to be made possible. Stiles opts to stick to the shadows in both a literal and metaphorical manner; he prefers the background where others do not disturb his train of thought and he can move in ease. On the literal end of the equation Stiles' body is composed primarily of living shadows and he despises any attempts to force him into the light as it separates him from his beloved shadows.

Questioning B does nothing to reveal information on Stiles. If anything--Bridgette is known to become defensive, a trait unusual for them, if not wholly protective of Stiles. Prying does nothing but increase the agitation present in Bridgette and unlucky dragons who push their luck trying to decipher Stiles' secrets will often be shown the way out of the gardens by force.

Surveillance conducted by Karina points to Stiles' being of supernatural origins, likely birthed by a union of deities not unlike Sornieth's main eleven gods in nature. Head Researcher Candor has proposed the possibility of Stiles' shadows and affinity for darkness having ties or a relation to the Shade of Sornieth--Symbiote or otherwise. Candor's theory remains mere speculation as there is no proof tying Stiles to the Shade much less the Shadowbinder or other known gods and goddesses common to the dragons of Sornieth.
