Dennari was captured as a hatchling by a Serthis band. They chained her and used her to siphon magic off. Often her captors would torment her, keeping her wings clipped to prevent her from flying away as she became older. They fed her enough to keep her alive but weak.

Years of abuse took their toll on the dragoness but she never lost her will. One day her chance came. She had befriended an Ophiotaurus that was as a watchdog. She would share the few bones and scraps thrown her way with it. The Serthis became embroiled in a feud with another band, while they were distracted Dennari managed to get her ally to break her chains.


As they were leaving, she saw another dragon also chained. Refusing to leave any of her kind behind her and the Ophitaurus released him. It didn’t take her long to realize that the poor dragon had been blinded and would need a lot of help. The trio fled into the night eventually crossing into the Mythweaver’s territory.

The council took them in and Dennari flourished under a gentle claw. Unfortunately, she still harbors internal scars that drive her to attack viciously any Serthis that she sees. Even the ones that live within the clan as friends and companions have learned to stay clear of her. They are saddened to see what this war has done to her
