- YOU. -aggressively shakes homura like a maracca- YOU ATE ALL MY VIALS OF SCATTERSIGHT WHEN THEY WERE AVAILABLE. FOR NOTHING. I WANT TO CRY. But hey. Now it's okay. It only took us three years but here we are, primal homura finally. - Post-Rebellion version of the character. - Soul gem location: left hand - Originally a sweet, meek girl with a weak consitution from several health issues surrounding the heart. - Time traveller. Able to stop time using the gears in her shield. Became a magical girl to save the one she loved, time and time again, failing over and over worse every time, having to watch her die on repeat. Rewinds time and reset a new timeline every time she fails, causing multiple simultaneous versions of her friends to exist, but only one of herself, making her the anomaly. - This understandably traumatized her beyond repair. Her personality started shifting from a timid, caring girl with self-depreciating thoughts to a cold, jaded magical girl who has lost trust in others and in herself. But no matter how much her method to reach it has changed, her goal itself never has. - Madoka ascending to Godhood, out of reach of Homura, was the final blow that made her entirely lose it. She was hellbent on bringing her back to the realm of the mortals. But for that, she knew she needed more power than what she already had. So homegirl here embraced her own despair so hard she left a small opening for shade to taint her pearl, turning her into the devil to Madoka's angel. Only THEN, would she be able to drag Madoka down from the heavens and pretend that none of this tragedy ever happened. Oh, to be in control... - Sayaka knows about all this. She's constantly on her trail to monitor her. Homura knows this, but lets her "have her fun". - Her soul gem looks eerily unnatural and rapidly flashes colors, and so does her pearl. - A tragic character all around yes yes but for me the real tragedy comes from the small glimpses of her smiling in rebellion. A small hint of happiness from her makes it all the more devastating when it's taken from her. I'm part of the "Homura did SOME things tremendously wrong but I understand the horrors she's coming from and also shes 14 so i'll pretend i do not see" demographic. |
