Ruusaan is a kind, nurturing soul who's great with kids and animals. If one of her small friends is threatened, though, she will defend them with every ounce of her strength.

Ruusaan is one of the College's many "study cases" - a transfer student from Arcane whose exposure to unstable magical energy while still in the egg led to an erratic magic field that she can't always quite control. It's not uncommon for her to be followed by a trail of accidentally levitated small objects - though, thankfully, never anything living.

Upon her arrival at Cerar Oriya, Ruusaan had the good fortune to be sponsored by a prominent noble family. They saw the potential of having a powerful mage loyal to them - and though things didn't turn out quite as they had hoped, Ruusaan's sweet and loving ways are just as good, in their own way. She's part of the family now, unpredictable magic and all.

As a member of a noble household, Ruusaan grew up navigating the political landscape of the High Court alongside her study at the Mages' College. Not all of her ostensible peers were welcoming, but she formed a solid, enduring friendship with Akaan, whose quiet, thoughtful demeanor matched well with her own gentle nature. Now that she's come of age, her interest in foundlings and her connections with the City Guard have led her to Demaii, whom she has agreed to tutor.
