The warlike Clan Weyr is on the offensive against the Shade-infected Hewn City, ever in pursuit of the knowledge that lies within. Elpha is a cunning and curious leader, who routinely leads expeditions into the darkest parts of the city to gather intelligence and lost relics.

As the clan's matriarch, Elpha has final say in all decisions that would affect the clan as a whole. However, she delegates many of her diplomatic and domestic responsibilities to Young, Aglia, and the clan's flight ambassadors.

Most of Elpha's focus is on the illumination of the Hewn City, where the clan resides. Those who tire of this pursuit are awarded safe passage to other clans, but those who remain must find their place in the ongoing battle against the darkness.
