Nala: Quiet, thoughtful, and intelligent; devoted wife, and empathetic leader.

______ Nala is a dedicated scholar, and leads the guild through research and compassion.

While Nala was on The Search, she came upon a lone dragon doing something very strange. It turns out, experimenting with elementals and alchemy can have unusual side effects...

Despite the fact that Varya fused her spirit and body with a nature elemental, Nala fell madly in love with the quirky dragon. Together, they founded the Umber Guild in a remote forest where Varya's experiments will do a minimal amount of damage. Nala guards the guild and watches over her mad scientist husband.

Creatures in the surrounding area tell stories of the beautiful nature goddess that watches over the Umber Forest. They whisper that she will one day ascend and become part of the pantheon of dragon gods.

For her part, however, Nala finds that she has an unusually keen desire to garden and collect leaves..

At the GG festival:
As the day winds down and the crowd begins thinning around the stall, you notice a very beautiful coatl walk confidently toward the mystery animal board. You can tell she is getting on in years, but despite her age she holds herself with the timeless elegance of a queen.

"Greetings," she calls out. "I was told by my mate that there is a challenging guessing game here? We would be remiss if we didn't participate." Despite her formal words, she smiles at you warmly. "Plus," she lowers her voice conspiratorially, "I need to show that old geezer I can still beat him!"

With that, she giggles like a young hatchling, and swiftly writes down her answers and submits them for your review.

NoTN 2016
A lone skydancer is the only one still awake in the guild hall. Nala was up long past nightfall, reading a stack of books in the library for her latest research project on nocturne dragon history and social habits. At the sound of wings, she notices the strange lights dancing around outside.

Stepping out, she finds herself nose-to-nose with the most beautiful, ethereal nocturne she has ever seen.

"Thank you for the gift," she breathes, taking the volume in shaky claws. "I've never seen this one before, but I will treasure it for the rest of my days!"

The nocturne nods her head elegantly, and both dragons share a moment of understanding. Before Nala can say more, the nocturne vanishes into the night. Nala wonders quietly to herself what discoveries this night will bring, and reverently brings the ensorcelled book back into the library.
