The demon frowned as she left yet another lifeless corner of the Scarred Wasteland. It’s not an easy task to find a suitable vessel with a passing soul. She’s been searching for ages, but all she ever finds are old, sick, or deadly injured dragons. Definitely not worth her time. On top of that, she needs a female vessel. Which female would want to live in a male body anyways? That definitely cannot happen. As she was still boiling with anger over her poor luck, a specific scent cought her attention. Hm… a young soul… just about to die. Worth a try. A wicked smile spread across her face, as she followed the scent. She found the dragon fairly fast. It was indeed a young soul – a hatchling still in the egg – and finally a female one at that. The demon snickered as she hovered above the nest. Now all she has to do, is to wait for the soul to pass, and occupy the body. Then she can finally do what she meant to do in this dragon-filled world… That’s how Radiis was born, a dragon with demonic soul. Or rather a demon, who inhabited a draconic shell. None of those dumb lizards suspected anything, of course she’s too good of an actress for that. They fed and raised her, not knowing about anything. Growing up, she fooled many dragons to dote on her, with the charming attitude she learnt for hundreds of years. Radiis was enjoying herself pretty much, fooling dragons has became her daily routine. Those idiots gave her everything she wished. They deserve this! They never stood a chance against her anyways. One day she was searching for her new victim to play with. She spotted a young male Spiral from afar. He looked weak enough, today she wasn’t in the mood to play hard matches. She casually approached him, and gave him a sweet smile. -„Hi, what brings you this far into the Plague lands?” The Spiral gave her a glance, he looked pretty shy. What a sucker! - „Um, I… think I got lost.” – he smiled ankwardly – „Would you by any chance know how to get to the Tangled Woods?” - „Oh, you just need to follow this road.” – Radiis pointed at a path going east. – „But, say…” - she gently touched the male’s shoulder, and looked up at him with fluttering eyelashes - „… why don’t you stay for a little longer?” The Spiral gasped, and looked away shyly. Heh, the fish is in the net. She already felt the taste of victory over another one of these weak creatures. Then he looked back at her, and she knew that something wasn’t right. There was nothing left from the previous bashfulness in his eyes, just cold disdain. The spiral raised both of his hands towards Radiis, and started to chant on some unknown language. That surely can’t be good. She jerked backwards, and leaped to avoid whatever the spiral was about to unleash on her. However she was too late – shining chains bound her to the ground, making her unable to move. She hissed furiously, but was unable to escape. The spiral stood by her head, looking down at her with a disgusted expression. - „You seriously thought, that I didn’t know about your secret, demon?” – No way, how could such a weakling cought her off guard?! This pathetic being seriously fooled her? HER?! She fumed with anger, but still tried to make benefit from the situation. - „We can still work together you know.” – she used her most seducing glance, and sweetest voice to convince her enemy – „I can give you whatever your heart wishes for… make a deal with me!” He laughed scornfully, and leaned closer to her. - „I wish for you to disappear, demon. I’m taking you back to my clan. Hopefully they’ll agree to get rid of you.” Thus, the Spiral dragged her in the Tangled Woods. She tried everything to convince him, but none led to success. She gave up after many faliures, but not the plan to free herself. This annoying rope of a dragon will be the first she kills after she’s out of these chains! Just wait… He took Radiis to a Nocturne. She assumed it was the leader, or something of the sort. Whatever, she’ll be a good puppet. If this one is the leader, even better! At least she won’t have to deal with any more of these annoying creatures, she can massacre all of them when the nocturne releases her. Radiis turned towards her with a dazzling smile, but before she could open her mouth, the leader raised a hand, and silenced her. Fury flashed in the demon’s eyes, as she hissed at the Nocturne. - „You filthy maggot, do you even know who I am?!” The nocturne clamly looked at her, and smiled. – „No, and I don’t need to know it either. The only thing I see, is that you’re a captive, and your life is in my hands.” – then she turned to the Spiral – „So, why did you bring her here, Stellus?” - „She’s a demon. I want permission to eliminate her.” Just who do they think they are?! Dare to look down on her… she’ll make sure their deaths will be as painful as possible! The leader looked at her with a troubled expression, then returned her gaze to Stellus. - „Now, that’s a problem. Even if we destroy the body she’s occupying now, we cannot harm her soul. Rather than eliminate… I want her to stay in the clan. I also want you to keep an eye on her.” - „What?!” – the spiral’s expression couldn’t be more shocked, and Radiis couldn’t utter a word herself. Why would they want her to stay? She absolutely doesn’t want that! - „Just what you heared.” – the nocturne looked deeply in the spiral’s eyes – „We cannot afford her to stay out of our line of sight, so we can neither kill her, nor release her. This is the best decision. The Black Flames will prevent her from escaping, and we can always restrain her as much as we need to.” - „Ugh…” - Stellus groaned, but lowered his head, and accepted his leader’s orders. Radiis growled inside, but she couldn’t do anything against it. They later bound her with the Black Flames, and freed her from the chains. However she felt right away, that it was just an other kind of bondage… the clan members could sense where she was, so she had no chance of escaping with normal ways. Well, she will just have to slaughter every single one of these lowly creatures. An evil smirk appeared in the corner of her mouth. Her time will come sooner or later… |
