Stalwart and bluntly honest, Arden has thick skin both literally and metaphorically. The only Snapper in the clan, she had to overcome a healthy dose of skepticism in order to prove herself as a warrior in name as well as blood. She enjoys subterranean exploring and often scouts through the rough crevasses in search of minerals and resources, using her glowing belly to light the way.

While slow to anger, Arden is also slow to forget past wrongs, even though she believes in the value of forgiveness. She distances herself from dragons she considers untrustworthy, and while she will still help them if it is within her power to do so, she will not take them into her confidence or think of them as friends. This puts her at odds with some members of her clan, but has also earned her allies in unusual places. Her friendship with her relative Kalfou is particularly notable; while Arden may not always understand the Bogsneak's viewpoints, she respects his honesty and knows she can count on him to keep his word.

In combat, Arden takes advantage of her natural durability to withstand blows that would fell her less-fortified family members. Her endurance and tenacity more than make up for her lack of speed, and when the situation grows dire she will step in and protect her fellow combatants from enemy claws and spells. While she generally tries to avoid outright confrontation and prefers to talk to her enemies before fighting, Arden is not a pacifist and will defend a just cause with force instead of diplomacy if the situation requires it.
