Nyte was always fascinated by the water. Nothing made him happier than the day the clan moved to the Starwood Strand, where they found a clearing near the ocean. He mapped every current of the sea, every curve and bend of every river, creek and stream. But he was tricked, lured into the water by a shapeshifting water spirit wearing the mask of a friend. He drowned in the mingling salt and fresh waters and was grieved for by the entire clan, his father Sandstone most of all.
And yet he returned from the depths. Unlike Hex his existence is undeniable, for he does not hide. Singing sweetly from the river, he attempts to lure others into the treacherous waters where he drowned. That particular river has become unfit to drink from, so clogged is it with bodies.
