Biography

Sulfura of the Clan Hewn Courage is fire The Furnace | she • her • hers | xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
A being of sulfur. A being comprised of the foundation of fire and heat to life. A being that was, in the process of existing, given life. How she came to arrive at the Hewn Cathedral was a mystery (nearly one as curious as how she herself came to be)- but it was not like those dragons that lived there to asked too terribly many questions. They welcomed her, those that welcomed the others- Illana, the queen and matriarch, smiling at the creature with her too-dark eyes, Sannyasi, who sat quiet and said Nothing, as always. Sulfura went to the matriarch, and said that she was meant to be there- Where, exactly, she did not know yet, but this Cathedral was to be her home. Haleria, the Forge-Master, was one who did not greet the newcomer. She remained in the bowels of their home, bent over the heat and fire she tended to. She looked back only as Sulfura came down the stairs, resting at the bottom of the stairwell- the creature frozen in place as Haleria turned, ominous light spilling from the vents on her mask, a mix of steam and smoke and candle-light obscuring the great Guardian from view. In a rush, as their gazes met, Haleria's great forge blew out, and went cold. She turned, astonished- enraged- fighting with the forge to get it lit. And then Sulfura knew where she was meant to be. The creature of fire and heat and birth moved close, ever-aware of the dangers, and sunk herself into the forge, causing light and fire to spring forth from it, churning a gust of smoke and ash towards the ceiling. Haleria drew back, wary, but after a moment came forwards again, heating metal and striking it to place- And finding her swords were sharper, her armor better-tempered. And so she looked to the forge, and the forge-creature, and smiled, and Sulfura rested in the forge, and knew she had finally found her right Place. |
