Empress of Yangzhi Men, or "The Rouge Gate." She acts as its leader and guardian.

Xinling's body is a vessel for powerful, ancient magic. Its might is what classifies her as a deity, and she is revered as such by the denizens of Yangzhi Men. Magicians in particular hold Xinling in high regard and refer to her as "The Goddess of Magic." The magicians that have chosen to reside in Yangzhi Men believe that being so close to such a powerful being enhances their powers. This belief is true.

Upon entering the outskirts of Yangzhi Men's territory, one will find that their magic will become more powerful. This is due to the high amount of magical energy that leaks out of Xinling and soaks into the surrounding land. She is aware of this occurrence and as such has never left Yangzhi Men in order to protect herself from those that would covet such an ability. As an added layer of security, each member of the nobility's true responsibility is to act as a guard for her in Yangzhi Men, so she is seldom seen unaccompanied by at least one member of the nobility. Though this measure is unnecessary, it helps to make Xinling comfortable.

Xinling is best described as a "delightfully strange and dutiful leader."
