Once a warrior turned scorned lover in the Bleachbone Horde, Kindra has thrown herself back into the embrace of warfare with a fury mostly unheard of in Maserift. Long-since resigned to the loss of all of her children, the discovery of two of her daughters in the clan has reawakened her determination to protect what few bonds she has left. Now, she commands a company of the few warriors that Maserift has attracted. Though unconventional compared to her previous unit, the familiar weight of responsibility is one that she relishes. The clan holds her loyalty so long as her daughters remain, though many observe that she is equally attached to the skydancer Aeneas, who as a hatchling stuck by her side during her first few weeks.

Serving among the rank and file of the Bleachbone Horde for years, Kindra has more than proved her mettle. A master of heavy plate armor, she fights on the front lines, often charging defensive walls and taking the brunt of the blows from beastclans and dragons alike. A terrifying force on the battlefield, she and those of her unit are known to crush the enemy's morale after only a few minutes on the battlefield.

Instead of admiration from the Captain, however, Kindra has earned Amador's displeasure by having the distinction of earning Tanwar's affections first. Brought low by his graceless and cutting jabs, it is only because she has impressed Damask that her life has been spared time and time again. Because of the drama surrounding their once fervent romance, Kindra admits that the flame between her and Tanwar has all but extinguished, and while she hopes to rekindle it, she does not know how she may do so as long as they both serve the Bleachbone Horde.

However, plea as she may with her former lover, Tanwar seems to have turned a deaf ear to her. He is insistent that they not leave the Horde until he discovers the prize Amador seeks and claims it as his own.

Kindra has surrendered to merely keeping her head down. She nests with Tanwar to please him, but her heart breaks anew when Amador claims their children as his own. In secret, she has taught some to fight, and she hopes to secret some of them away to find peace she doubts she will know, and every time she does she risks the Captain's ire anew.

After three nests in Earth being taken from her by the Captain, Kindra has had enough. She threatened Tanwar enough times, and to no avail. Dissatisfied with her life among the Horde, she has chosen to leave. She hopes to find another place to start over, though she knows her prospects are not good.



Tanwar is looked on with distrust by most of the Bleachbone Horde. Often found lounging beside or across their illustrious leader, Tanwar is dismissed as nothing more than the Captain's pretty distraction. Tanwar's air of smug satisfaction does nothing to dismiss this assumption.

He has a purpose, though. After all, if one is to stay in the Bleachbone Horde, it is not idly. Tanwar is gone for long stretches at a time, scouting the surrounding countryside, looking for easy marks for the Horde. He will stagger, half-dead, into a clan's territory and take full advantage of Dragonhome's fabled hospitality. While he's there, he takes a good look around, casing the security and the riches both, before expressing gratitude to his unwitting hosts.

Days or weeks later, if there was anything of value to be found, the kindhearted clan finds itself pitted against the worst the Horde has to offer.

Tanwar's personal relations are a bit of a tangle. Once the devoted mate of Kindra, the two have fallen on rocky times since the scout has gained the Captain's eye. Amador refers to all children from the pair as his, dismissing Kindra as little more than an egg mother. Kindra and Tanwar are known to argue openly among the Horde, and many wonder why they share a nest again and again if it is only a point of contention between them.

In secret, Tanwar detests Amador, finding him dull and oafish. Tanwar, however, is well aware of how much he is letting his greed guide his actions. He has promised Kindra that they will raise a nest together one day, as soon as he discovers what it is that Amador has hauled them out to the middle of nowhere to find.

And the day he knows it, he aims to kill the Captain and claim the prize as his own.



Pirate of the Wastes and Captain of the Bleachbone Horde, Amador is regarded as both savior and tyrant by all who know his name. A bogsneak of no outstanding stature or appearance, his dark eyes belie a wicked humor, as if he knows the punch line to everyone's misery.

The Bleachbone Horde is an army known for conducting raids on the clans of Dragonhome and the surrounding territories. They are a migratory force, known to take treasure and lives before fading beyond the horizon before dusk has fallen. Reviled by the law-abiding clans of Dragonhome, they are thing of legend. Many youths dream of joining the Bleachbone Horde, if only they could find it.

He is most renowned for his mettle and strength in battle. He has felled foes more than twice his size using underhanded tactics and dirty fighting. His vicious bloodlust leaves many civilians quaking at his name and his followers cheering as they leave nothing but ruin where they walk.

Though he is known for his violent assaults on towns and strongholds, Amador is not reckless. He considers every move with care. Every attack is scouted and planned in as much depth as possible to ensure that the fewest of the Hordesdragons are lost in the fray. Victory is a taste that Amador knows well.

Though the Horde itself is rumored to wander across the wastes of Dragonhome, they seem to have taken up semi-permanent residence in a series of box canyons around Cairnstone Rest. It is whispered among the rank and file that Amador is seeking something black and unholy, though that is only speculation. Though many swear they will follow him into the teeth of hell itself, now and again those same dragons exchange nervous looks when it is suggested they may have to seek within the tombs themselves for Amador's prize.

In his personal life, Amador is a dragon of many appetites. Known to easily bore, he samples the treasures of the places the Bleachbone Horde has pillaged. He is a connosoir of wines, foods, sumptuous clothes, and beauties of every shape. And though he will taste and enjoy these novel distractions, he is also a creature of habit. He surrounds himself most often with an inner circle that he trusts, even if they loathe him.

His relationship with his mate, Damask, seems a frigid one to those who do not see within their tents at night. They keep each other at arms' length in public, though they are also fiercely devoted to one another. Should another suggest they leave each other, that advisor would find themself with a knife in their throat before the sentence is finished.

Tanwar is Amador's favorite distraction, and it is unclear to many whether the scout is a lover or close friend. It is assumed that Tanwar is completely loyal to the Horde's leader. Tanwar's doting affection and lazy drawl set many on edge.

Nibiru, Amador's personal dancer, is known to openly spurn and despise him. It is rumored, though unproven, that they are the cause of Amador's eye scar. The two are known to verbally spar with one another, and the dancer's hostility is the source of many laughs and jeers among Amador's followers once the sun has set and Nibiru takes the stage.
