Wyldyrn found this new Crescendo after she talked to original Crescendo about her move to an ice lair where her hatchday would be an important day in that lair. Crescendo laughed when she found out when that hatch day was - hers is the same! Although this Crescendo didn't have the same colors as Wyldyrn, Wyldyrn explained that her colors were the colors Wyldyrn would have chosen if they were available.

 Crescendo, like her namesake before her, shares a hatching day with a dear friend met here - in Sornieth. Messages between them fly thick and fast, as well as dragons, artwork and teaching/learning events. Look - we can do columns! And the above badge is a combined effort between Emberglo and her friend Sludgy. |
Crescendo chose a peregrine gene so she would have similar - yet different - wings from Wyldyrn. She also found an eyepiece to wear, to imitate Wyldyrn's glasses - Crescendo is younger, you see, and doesn't need glasses!
Crescendo, also known as 'Sestra', has joined Wyldyrn in visiting the unbonded familiars of Emberglo Lair. There are quite a few and Wyldyrn needed help, because she insists that every familiar here deserves a visit from at least one dragon every day. Cosima, her Zalis, travels with her. Crescendo suspects it is not necessarily to keep her company or to visit the other familiars, but to make sure one of the unbonded ones doesn't steal his dragon!

*** *** *** The original Crescendo's story. Stormsprig was sad. She had left her home for a new lair but then, unfortunately, discovered that Wind made her unhappy. She didn't care for the sound of it, or the unpredictable nature of gusting weather. She began to fear the bright balloons that tried to knock her out of the sky. She longed for the quiet and dark of the shadows she remembered as a hatchling. She began to secretly venture out at night, gazing longingly at the gardens of glowing mushrooms that she could see if she hovered over the Sea of a Thousand Currents. She longed to return to the Tangled Wood and the glow shrooms she could imagine in her mind. Early one morning as she was just about to return from her journey, a lone Tundra dragon flew near her. "Why do you shed tears?" The dragon asked. "I am homesick for the shadows." Stormsprig didn't know why she told the dragon her worries. "Then why don't you come with me? I will make room for you in my lair Moonlit Nyyt of Emberglo." "Emberglo? Are you Wyldyrn of Emberglo?" "Yes, I am. And I have always wanted a sister." Wyldyrn smiled at Sprig. "A sister?" "Yes. Look at our colors - Storm and Teal." "Oh - and here I was admiring you. I didn't realize we almost matched!" Sprig finally smiled. "Sisters indeed! Come - let me take you back to the dark side. We have cookies." The two dragons flew off together to Emberglo where Wyldyrn presented Sprig with a hat and flowers to match hers and a cape just different enough for sisters. Now they are thinking about finding her a musical or nocturnal new name. We think they found it - both storm and music. Crescendo! |
