Ailbe is known across Dragonhome for his willingness to take on jobs others may avoid. His eagerness to finish out a contract according to its letter and his dedication to the task once begun has earned him a reputation as a useful addition to a team of caravan guards or explorers. His companions, a pair of coatls named Jacquard and Damask, are valuable additions to any job, employing their unique skills to solve problems in ways others may not have expected. Ailbe's demeanor is outwardly stoic, though those who know him well know his wild nature is carefully contained within, like a gale trapped within a bottle, ready to be shattered and released. In the heat of battle, the gale is released, and his wild-eyed strikes against his enemies have earned him several monikers, though he only owns up to them with a bit of chagrin. He seems more embarrassed than pleased at such titles. He visits Oakrest only rarely, such as when Damask and Jacquard have information to pass on to the sages of the Citadel, or when an expedition brings them nearby and they need to resupply. He is well-behaved in civilized company, though his rough appearance and stiff behavior in more genteel circles makes it clear he is most at home among the sands of the wild deserts than anywhere else. |

Ailbe owes them both a life debt, and though his skills earn them coin to continue their journeys, he knows he will die in their service if necessary. Ailbe finds Jacquard a tolerable companion, her silent contemplation a fitting addition to the barren lands they travel, and her quiet cleverness the solution to many of the problems into which her mate has thrust them. |

Corela - A fellow sellsword of Dragonhome, Corela and Ailbe have more in common than either chooses to admit. They have come to blows more than once, and though Corela frequently bests Ailbe, they both hold great respect for the other. Ailbe views Corela as an aspiration, a reason to continue pushing herself to become stronger. |

Hallis - The quiet structural engineer of Oakrest, Ailbe finds him intriguing and fascinating. He has served as Hallis' escort more than once as the weak tundra traveled beyond the Citadel to investigate ruins and other compounds. While Ailbe does not feel romantic attraction, he does enjoy Hallis' companionship, and when the tundra approached him to request a nest to attempt to assuage his lonliness, Ailbe found it an agreeable contract, one which he would not mind fulfilling again in the future. |
