Biography

Maewynn
Alliance: Shadetouched; Loner

Maewynn has never minded the Shade that shares her skin. She's always known It as a part of herself.

She believes it happened while she was still in the egg--nothing else would explain why the Shade is so inexplicably her, and she in turn inexorably the Shade. She knows other dragons fear her, and perhaps for good reason, and doesn't mind leading a solitary life in Carrion Canyon. While friendly and open by nature, she doesn't crave the company of dragons.

Maewynn's memory is strangely unreliable. Some days, or parts of days, are total blanks or seen as if through a thick fog. She assumes these are days when the Shade stretches Its will, for she wakes finding herself in other locations or devouring food she can't remember acquiring. These episodes don't worry her; nothing about the Shade does, really. She earnestly hopes that she doesn't harm anyone, but it wouldn't surprise or traumatize her to find out that she had. If the Shade wishes to use their shared flesh for such things, she would accept it as willingly as she accepts everything to do with the Shade.

Currently, Maewynn keeps the company of a nocturne called Elof. They travel together, each without harsh judgement of the other. And with making the acquaintance of Elof, Maewynn imposed a rule on the Shade within her for the first time: Do not harm him. He is our friend--yours as well as mine.
