Firstborn son of the clan’s founder’s, Vin has never been fond of the idea of inheriting any sort of control. He is more than happy to leave that responsibility to Scochi.

His closest friendship is with his adoptive sister, Zarco, but he knows everyone on board The Song Bird and has no enemies he’s aware of.

His younger sister, Borderline, is the only blood relation he has who has ever saw fit to remain with Avis Calvariam. Though initially excited at the prospect of having a sibling in the clan, the two of them never really hit it off. They certainly aren’t at each other’s throats, but though the silence between them is peaceable, it’s still silence.

His clutchmate, Eeky, likely would have also remained with the clan had she not been kidnapped by a shifty Nature dragon when she was still very young. This dragon had once been welcomed alongside Onra, Zarco and many others, only to later vanish away into the night with Eeky in tow. No one has seen either dragon since, and this has long been a sore subject for Avis Calvariam. It was ages before another Nature dragon was accepted into the clan, but they eventually had to admit that the crimes of one dragon should not reflect on a whole Flight - especially after all the help The Wild Orchard Clan offered in their time of greatest need.

Vin spends much of his time snuffling about the airship, an activity he calls "scouting." There are those who might disagree on the usefulness of this, but they don’t bother stepping on his dreams.
Plague Days:
Like some others, Vin became deathly ill during his clan’s unplanned venture into The Wasteland. Scochi was at his side often, trying her best to heal him alongside too many others.

He was among the lucky ones. His recovery came sluggishly, but come it did. Sadly, as his health increased, his mother’s declined and he could do nothing as her colors faded and her pulse eventually stilled.

There’s a heaviness about him, now. A longing for something that can never be returned. But the clean air of The Cloudsong is as good a place as any for healing a broken heart.
The Cloudsongs:
Vin still just wants to "scout" for danger aboard the ship, but he grudgingly agreed to learn a thing or two about how to use magic and herbs to heal others. If only he could have learned these things before the... painful... thing... he can almost remember? It's... there... he just isn't sure what it is. It makes him sad. He sees the same sadness in the eyes of his father.

But what is it? What is he forgetting? Maybe he'll ask Kiala.
