Lucia gathers records, eyewitness accounts, legends, and relics to piece together Sornieth's history. She makes an effort to speak with friendly beastclans, for they predate the rise of dragons and have knowledge of older events.

Her favorite subject is the Shade: she collects theories on what it is and why it came to her world. The most reliable sources say that it is mostly dissipated from the world, and perhaps is no longer present in a significant way. However, she's also heard reports of dragons being possessed or diseased by it. This vexes her greatly, and she thinks these dragons must be stricken by something else. Perhaps it's a somatic disorder, a mass delusion, or another illness that bears a superficial resemblance...
