______From a young age, Eglantine's Wind heritage manifested as a natural talent and love for flying. The moment her wings were strong enough to carry her, she was taking to the skies faster than the Caretaker could catch her. All Eglantine needed was the wind rushing through her mane, the feeling of her wings carving through the soft white clouds. She was a reckless hatchling, and had not been deterred by dark clouds on the horizon as she sneaked off to fly one morning.

______ Being caught in the storm had nearly killed her. Lost and afraid, it was only by the efforts of Crocus that she was safely rescued and brought back to the clan. Contrary to what anyone may have guessed, the aftermath of the storm didn't scare her off of flying -- Instead, it only drove her to learn more about what nearly ended her. As she grew, she studied dark clouds, pressure changes, rain and snow; the sky had been her life, and she yearned to know more about it and what came from it. It was a world apart from the land of Sornieth that seemed for all the world to be endless.

______ Eglantine's growing knowledge of weather patterns proved to be a boon to Clan Warden. Her talent in foretelling rain is valuable to the foragers and fishers, while her knowledge of storms aids Rescuers in finding and saving lost dragons. Her work has kept her close with Crocus, and the two often fly together when venturing outside clan territory.
