Biography
"It was dusk. There had been many dusks before it and there were still many to come after it, but this was the present. A meteor shower was due to start soon, and many dragons, especially Celestial Runners, were out preparing their stargazing equipment. On a cliff over the ocean, a mysterious Imperial warrior placed his telescope and put it into position, pointing up and out into the sky. As the night grew dark, the sky suddenly filled with a shrieking sound. A large meteorite was blasting through the atmosphere, with debris shooting off it and into the forest beside the sea. The meteorite itself fell into the water with a tremendous splash of quickly evaporating water which hissed and bubbled until the dark shadow of the rock had sunk to the bottom. The dragons, who had been enamored by the meteorite, were just now noticing that the forest was aflame."

Kondo had heard many such stories at the feet of his father, Arcturus. Thinking back on them now, he realized that it was the stories that ultimately led him to follow his father's & grandfather's footsteps and become an official Celestial Runner, skilled in battle and protecting Sornieth from any danger that should come down from the sky.
Of course, that decision was originally a surprising one, as Kondo had developed just as much of his grandfather's tendencies to be a klutz as he did his father's love of reading. Apogee encouraged him, though, and the more he battled, the more smooth and fluid his movements became.
Now, the only time Kondo gets clumsy is when he approaches a potential mate. At that point he becomes tongue-tied, losing all eloquence and has even been known to stutter. Once, he even dropped a clawful of hot, Eel Larvae in the lap of a date.
Regardless, Kondo still dreams of finding a suitable partner to pass on his Celestial Runner heritage with. Noone ever accused him of not being persistent!
